STAKE? BEAM? CROSS?

Today we had a great discussion regarding the greatest act of love of all time. Was our Creator nailed to a beam, a cross, a tree, impaled? While not a salvation issue, it is a interesting subject. What does the Bible say?

Mrk 15: v30. Save thyself, and come down from the cross.

Luk 23: v26. And as they led him away, they laid hold of one Simon, a Cyrenian, coming out of the country, and on him they laid the cross, that he might bear [it] after Messiah.

Jhn 19: v23. Then the soldiers, when they had crucified Messiah, took his garments, and made four parts, to every soldier a part; and also [his] coat: now the coat was without seam, woven from the top throughout.

Looks like a cross, but what is the Strong’s definition for cross and crucified?

Notice upright stake or beam.

Other scriptures mention a beam or a tree.

Act 13: v29. And when they had fulfilled all that was written of him (Messiah), they took [him] down from the tree, and laid [him] in a sepulchre.

V30. But Yahweh the Father raised him from the dead:

V31. And he was seen many days of them which came up with him from Galilee to Jerusalem, who are his witnesses unto the people.

Gal 3:13 YahwehShua hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed [is] every one that hangeth on a tree:

Act 5: v30. Yahweh the Father raised up YahwehShua Messiah, whom ye slew and hanged on a tree.

1Pe 2: v24. Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.

What is the Strong's definition of tree?

Notice upright stake or beam.

When the Messiah was with his disciples in his resurrected spiritual body assuming a human shape, he mentions his hands and feet.

Jhn 20: v27. Then saith he to Thomas, Reach hither thy finger, and behold my hands; and reach hither thy hand, and thrust [it] into my side: and be not faithless, but believing.

V28. And Thomas answered and said unto him, My YahwehShua.

V29. YahwehShua saith unto him, Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed: blessed [are] they that have not seen, and [yet] have believed.

Luk 24: v36. And as they thus spake, Messiah himself stood in the midst of them, and saith unto them, Peace [be] unto you.

V37. But they were terrified and affrighted, and supposed that they had seen a spirit.

V38. And he said unto them, Why are ye troubled? And why do thoughts arise in your hearts?

V39. Behold my hands and my feet, that it is I myself: handle me, and see; for a spirit hath not flesh and bones, as ye see me have (his resurrected spiritual body assuming a physical shape likely this will also be the case in the Millennial Sabbath).

A sister brought up an interesting point that if he was impaled, it was likely the spear that was the used on him. She is right. Impaling a human body on a sharp stake through the internal organs would be a quick death. This is why the soldier pierced him, he wanted to be sure he was dead, this would quickly finish him off before the high Sabbath, or if he moved after the piercing they would break his legs.

Jhn 19: v32. Then came the soldiers, and brake the legs of the first, and of the other which was crucified with him (3 in the tree).

V33. But when they came to Messiah, and saw that he was dead already, they brake not his legs:

V34. But one of the soldiers with a spear pierced his side, and forthwith came there out blood and water.

What did our Creator say through Moses about being lifted up?

Jhn 3: v14. And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up.

This greatest act of love of all time is going to fix all creation including the fallen angels, the adversary, and anyone who's not part of the 144,000 and the innumerable multitude, will get an endless life outside the kingdom.

Col 1: v20. And, having made peace through the blood of his cross (upright stake or beam), by him to reconcile all things unto himself; by him, [I say,] whether [they be] things in earth, or things in heaven (fallen angels and the adversary).

Putting these scriptures together, it's likely our Creator was stretched out on a beam and had his wrists nailed (between the distal ulnar and radial bones as a brother pointed out if not Messiah would pull out from the nail) above his head and his ankles pulled down and stretched further and nailed to the bottom of the beam. The rope (likely a flax rope) was likely thrown over a limb and then attached to the top of the beam and the beam pulled up into the tree lifting him up with the other two criminals. Pulling a cross up into a tree would be more difficult because of tree branches. The beam rope and nails could be used over and over with that damaging the tree.

My brothers and sisters figured out all this today on our weekly Sabbath, they are teaching me!

Iron sharpens iron but I think their iron is a little sharper than my iron!

Pro 27: v17. Iron sharpeneth iron; so a man sharpeneth the countenance of his friend.

HalleluYahwehShua!
