WAVE SHEAF

When Joshua (true name was Yahshua; there was no J in the Hebrew language at that time) brought the Israelites into the promised land, he was instructed by our Creator to circumcise those who needed circumcision for the first day of unleavened bread which was the 15th (when the Israelites killed the lambs on the daylight portion of the 14th, painted their doors and went inside at the end of the 14th and beginning of the 15th. They ate the roasted lamb and were instructed not to leave until morning. They left Egypt at the end of the 15th

{Num 33: v3. And they departed from Rameses in the first month, on the fifteenth day of the first month; on the morrow after the passover [day after the preparation day or the day the lamb was slaughtered] the children of Israel went out with an high hand in the sight of all the Egyptians}.

Jos 5: v2. At that time Yahweh said unto Joshua [Yahshua], Make thee sharp knives, and circumcise again the children of Israel the second time.

V3. And Joshua made him sharp knives, and circumcised the children of Israel at the hill of the foreskins

V4. And this [is] the cause why Joshua did circumcise: All the people that came out of Egypt, [that were] males, [even] all the men of war, died in the wilderness by the way, after they came out of Egypt.

V5. Now all the people that came out were circumcised: but all the people [that were] born in the wilderness by the way as they came forth out of Egypt, [them] they had not circumcised.

V6. For the children of Israel walked forty years in the wilderness, till all the people [that were] men of war, which came out of Egypt, were consumed, because they obeyed not the voice of Yahweh: unto whom Yahweh sware that he would not shew them the land, which Yahweh sware unto their fathers that he would give us, a land that floweth with milk and honey.

V7. And their children, [whom] he raised up in their stead, them Joshua circumcised: for they were uncircumcised, because they had not circumcised them by the way.

V8. And it came to pass, when they had done circumcising all the people, that they abode in their places in the camp, till they were whole (New Covenant circumcision is baptism in the singular name of the Father and Son {YahwehShua contains the name of the Father Yahweh and the resurrected Son YahwehShua} Col 2: v11. In whom also ye are circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, in putting off the body of the sins of the flesh by the circumcision of Messiah: V12. Buried with him in baptism, wherein also ye are risen with [him (YahwehShua)] through the faith of the operation of Yahweh the Father, who hath raised him from the dead).

V9. And Yahweh (Son) said unto Joshua, This day have I rolled away the reproach of Egypt from off you (15th the first day of the Feast of Unleavened Bread). Wherefore the name of the place is called Gilgal (rolled) unto this day

V10. And the children of Israel encamped in Gilgal, and kept the passover on the fourteenth day of the month at even (start of the 15th) in the plains of Jericho.

V11. And they did eat of the [old] corn of the land on the morrow after the passover (morrow after the Passover is equivalent to the day after the preparation day or the day after the 14th which is the 15th, the first day of Unleavened Bread), unleavened cakes, and parched (roasted) [corn] (barley) the selfsame day (Lev 23: v14. And ye shall eat neither bread, nor parched corn, nor green ears, until the selfsame day that ye have brought an offering unto Yahweh : [it shall be] a statute for ever (period of time in Old Covenant throughout your generations in all your dwellings).

The above is a depiction of gathering manna

V12. And the manna ceased on the morrow after they had eaten of the [old] [corn] (barley) of the land; neither had the children of Israel manna any more; but they did eat of the fruit of the land of Canaan that year.

The Passover or preparation day or the daylight portion of the 14th can fall on any day of the week. In this particular scenario, the preparation day fell out on the weekly Sabbath. The phrase morrow after the preparation day always refers to the Feast of Unleavened bread day one. In this case the Feast of Unleavened Bread occurred on a Sunday, the same day as the Wave Sheaf (the start of the count to Pentecost).

The word [old] grain was added to Joshua. It was the first year in the Promised Land they would have not had any stored grain from the previous year. Our Creator knew this and planned for the first day of the Feast of Unleavened bread to also be the Wave Sheaf so they could immediately enjoy the new barley harvest. The Wave Sheaf always follows the weekly Sabbath and must be within the Feast of Unleavened Bread day 1 through 7. In some years, it can be the last day of the Feast of Unleavened bread in which case Israelites would have to eat old grain from the previous year's harvest until the omer (sheaf) was waved.

The true Wave Sheaf (YahwehShua) is like his Father! He has perfect timing!

HalleluYahwehShua!
