Should YOU be "in YAHWEHSHUA"?

What does it mean to be “in YahwehShua“?  To become in YahwehShua, you must follow the directions of the apostle Peter given in Acts 2:38:  “Then Peter said unto them, repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of YahwehShua Messiah for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.”

By being baptized in the name of salvation, YahwehShua, you avail yourself to receiving the down payment of the Spirit of Messiah. The Spirit of the Father is a free gift. (1 Corinthians 2:10-12) You must receive this Spirit before you are able to develop the Spirit of Messiah. The Spirit of the Father is only the beginning. Paul tells us this in Romans 8:9:  “Now if any man have not the Spirit of Messiah, he is none of his.”

The name, YahwehShua, is the name of both the Father and Son. It is this name that the firstfruits or saints have in their foreheads when they are standing on Mount Zion after being resurrected. The name of Yahweh has always been the name of salvation (Joel 2:32) and has always been the more excellent name. (Psalms 148:13) The Son inherited his Father’s more excellent name. (Hebrews 1:4) This name of salvation is the name of both the Father and Son. There is NO other name by which we are saved. (Acts 4: 12)

Messiah’s birth name, Yahshua, was blotted out upon his death. This was foretold in Deuteronomy 29:20. For more understanding of the significance of the blotting out of his name, please review our previous articles as well as these additional scriptures: Deuteronomy 21:23 and Galatians 3:13. You must have the inherited name to enter the race for the better resurrection. The birth name is defiled and voided. It is worthless for baptism. The ONLY valid name for baptism is YahwehShua. It is by this name only that you can become “in YahwehShua.”

To be in the better resurrection when Messiah returns, you must have the fully formed Spirit of Messiah at the time of your death. (Galatians 4:19) By being in this resurrection, you will have all the benefits of belonging to Messiah. These include not having to experience the second death, being assured of living in the kingdom and always being in the presence of Messiah. You will be like him. This is being in YahwehShua.

Why is this important? If you are being called, then to successfully respond to this opportunity, you must be baptized in the inherited name, not the birth name of Messiah. Only the Father can call you. (John 6:44)  But only you can decide how you respond.

Why is it important to select the correct name? The Scriptures come from Yahweh. Consider what the apostle John tells us in John 14:15:  “If ye love me keep my Commandments.”  The apostle Peter’s declaration in Acts 2:38 was given to him by the inspiration of the Father’s Holy Spirit. This is also true of what Moses teaches us in Deuteronomy 21:23 and 29:20. The apostle Paul Is also inspired to teach us about the curses, which are consistent with what Moses teaches as well. Should you ignore the scriptures and decide to accept baptism in the wrong name, then you have chosen not to keep Yahweh’s Commandments. This is not love.

Is love important? Let’s consider first Corinthians 13:2:  “And though I have the gift of prophecy and understand all mysteries, and all of knowledge; and though I have all faith so that I could move mountains, and have not love[agape G26, noun] I am nothing.”

Accepting the truth as revealed by the Father and responding by being baptized in his son’s resurrected name is an act of love. Love is a demonstration of obedience. Luke educates us on what happens when we obey the Scriptures of Yahweh in Acts 5:32:  “And we are his witnesses of these things and so is the Holy Spirit, whom Yahweh has given them that obey him.” Without obeying the Father, we will not receive His Spirit. It is only through receiving His Spirit that we are able to receive the down payment of Messiah’s Spirit.  It is by the possession of the fully formed Spirit of Messiah that allows the firstfruits to be resurrected when Messiah returns.   This requires time and obedience.

Baptism in the revealed, resurrected name of Messiah is an act of obedience and love. When you demonstrate your love and therefore obedience, the Holy Spirit is freely given to you. (Acts 8:17-18) it is only through the giving of the Father’s Holy Spirit that a firstfruit is able to receive the down payment of Messiah’s Spirit. It is the possession of Messiah’s Spirit that will enable the firstfruit to be resurrected when Messiah returns.

You have a choice. You can continue to believe that you don’t need to be baptized in the inherited name. Perhaps you been baptized in a birth name of Messiah. However, we have learned in 1 Corinthians 13 that prophetic ability, understanding mysteries, having all knowledge and faith is not enough. You must have love. Baptism in the inherited name of YahwehShua and overcoming into the better resurrection is the ultimate act of love. It is your love for Yahweh and also  Yahweh’s love toward you.

Many who contact us are seeking information. Often they are impressed with the insight gained from our website. However, most are not willing to take the step toward baptism. They are unwilling to accept the love of Yahweh through his revelation to them. This is despite His promise given to us in Philippians 4:13: “I  [you]can do all things through Messiah which strengtheneth me.”

The members of the Light of YahwehShua are not here to evangelize the world and especially not to judge the world. (1 Corinthians 5:12) We are here to receive those the Father is calling. If you are reading our website and are interested in contacting us, then this could be your calling. Please do not squander this opportunity!

Those who are successfully baptized in the name of YahwehShua become members of the body of Messiah. They are not alone. We are all brothers and sisters in the faith. We are called to love each other as Messiah has love for each of us. We become family. We are able to learn and grow together. The elders are servants of the body and are called to build the body not harm it. (Ephesians 4:11-12) Our members have seen examples in prior groups where the elders take advantage of their position. You will not find that here.

The Father is calling you because He believes in you. Are you able to believe in him? Once you are baptized “in YahwehShua“ you will no longer be just a carnal person. You will be developing the mind of Messiah (1 Corinthians 2:16) and will be able to seek constant help from the Father through the acceptable name of YahwehShua. (John 15:16) You will have the key of knowledge (Luke 11:12) and salvation will be available to you.

Please consider giving the Father and Son the opportunity to demonstrate their love for you. Their love is true love. Contact us to find out how we can be of assistance. Remember, 1 Corinthians 13:13:  “and now abideth faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love.”

Addendum for further study:

Are YOU Being Called for the "Better Resurrection"?

Christian tradition and theologians teach a lot about going to either heaven or hell after death. They don’t really talk about what the Bible actually says. Ecclesiastes 9:5 describes what really happens after we die: “the dead know not anything”. When you read the Scriptures in the original language, they do not talk about a place called hell.  This is a concept created from poor translations and hidden agendas.

The Scriptures tell us that, “no man hath ascended up to heaven”.  (John 3: 13)  Revelation 21: 10 further says, “that great city, the holy Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from Yahweh.”In fact, we are told there will be new heavens and a new earth. (2 Peter 3:13) Yahweh brings his kingdom down to a new earth. What we ALL have in common is death and resurrection.

We find the reference to a “better resurrection” in Hebrews 11:35. Since this confirms the existence of at least one resurrection, there must be another resurrection that is not as good. The better resurrection occurs when Messiah returns. This resurrection is only for the firstfruits or saints. This is a resurrection to spirit life.

The next resurrection comes after the completion of the 1000-year reign of Messiah. (Revelation 20:5) This is a resurrection to physical life. These physical human beings must face their judgment. Those who receive Yahweh’s Spirit and bear fruit will qualify to be transformed into the new heavens and earth. The remaining physical beings will be cast into the lake of fire or the second death. (Revelation 20:14)  They will eventually be accepted into the new heavens and earth.

The better resurrection means that the saints or firstfruits do not have to face a second death. They will have spirit bodies and be with Messiah forever. When they enter the new heavens and earth, they will live in the kingdom of Yahweh. Those human beings from the second resurrection who do not go through the second death will also be in the kingdom of Yahweh. Those who come into the new heavens and earth from the second death live outside the kingdom of Yahweh. (Revelation 22: 15)

What I have just told you is actually found in the Scriptures. If you pray to Yahweh for truth, and allow the Scriptures to speak for themselves, you can also discover what I just told you. The world is full of deception and the only source of truth Is Yahweh.

Many people who contact us find our website interesting, but they are unable to emphasize their devotion to Yahweh over their relationship to their physical families.  Yahweh should take first place.  This is why Yahweh recommends marriage between believers, as in the scripture, 2 Corinthians 6:14. As some learn more about being “in YahwehShua”, they are often afraid to accept the commitment that is required once they are baptized.

These encounters have often caused me to remember the rich young man who came to Messiah. We are introduced to him in Matthew 19:16:  “And, behold, one came and said unto him, Good master, what good thing shall I do, that I may have eternal life?“ Messiah answered his question, but verse 22 reveals the sad outcome of that interaction: “But when the young man heard that saying, he went away sorrowful: for he had great possessions.”  The rich young man was so enslaved to his possessions he could not answer the calling that he was receiving. Are you enslaved to this world?

Are you being called but are afraid to consider the challenge that you may face if you choose to accept your calling? You are not alone! Consider the parable of the sower Messiah shared with us in Matthew 13. We are told about what happens to seed when it is cast upon the ground. The seed represents the calling from Yahweh. This calling can only come from the Father Yahweh. (John 6:44) He calls only those whom he has selected. Remember, what we are told in Matthew 22:14: “For many are called but few are chosen.”

The parable of the sower reveals the failure rate of this calling. Most of the seed falls in the wayside, stony place or are among the thorns. The good seed takes root and produces fruit. There was a three out of four failure rate. Only 25% of those called successfully responded.

Many of those who contact our website are confused about our true destiny after death. We all have to die. (Hebrews 9: 27) But we will not ALL be in the same resurrection. There are two resurrections that we must be concerned about. The first resurrection occurs when Messiah returns. (1 Corinthians 15:23) This is for those who are called, chosen, and have overcome.

The rest of mankind will be resurrected after the thousand years. All mankind will be resurrected in either the first or second resurrection. Not one human being is lost. Notice what Paul tells us in first Corinthians 15:22:  “For as in Adam ALL die, even so in Messiah shall ALL be made alive.“ I have boldened the word all because no human being is overlooked. ALL will be resurrected and eventually enter the new heavens and earth.

During this present age, the Father, Yahweh, is only calling certain people. (John 6:44) We cannot choose to be called. Our calling is decided only by the Father. We ARE able to choose to respond if called.

The first resurrection is the better resurrection. (Hebrews 11:35) Why is this better? The firstfruits in this resurrection will not experience the second death. They will die no more. The second death is the lake of fire. (Revelation 20:14) This is not the fabled eternal fire of damnation.  This is for those who were called during the second resurrection, but did not overcome. They had to die again before being resurrected into the new heavens and earth.

Messiah said: “I am the resurrection”(John 11:25) He died so that ALL mankind will be resurrected. Death is going to be destroyed. (1 Corinthians 15:26) There will be no death in the new heavens and earth. The world has been so deceived that it thinks that Yahweh is not powerful enough to save all mankind. The apostle Paul refutes this false assumption in 1 Timothy 2:4- 5:  “For this is good and acceptable in the sight of Yahweh our Saviour:  Who will have all men to be saved, and to come into the knowledge of the truth.“

Yahweh will have all men transformed from this material creation to the special creation of the new heavens and earth. (2 Peter 2:13; Revelation 21:1) Not one human is left behind. All will be resurrected, but according to the order established by Yahweh.

The firstfruits, those who are being called during this age, will experience the better resurrection. They will not die again. They will be with Messiah for 1000 years prior to the final judgment of the rest of mankind. They will be priests and kings (Revelation 1:6 & 5:10) in the kingdom of Yahweh and will always be with Messiah.

The rest of mankind who are resurrected after the thousand years will be given the Spirit of Yahweh and have the opportunity to be “in YahwehShua”. Should they overcome “in YahwehShua“, they will not be cast into the lake of fire. Those who reject this opportunity and go into the lake of fire will eventually live in the new heavens and earth. However, they will reside outside the kingdom of Yahweh. Every person who dwells in the new heavens and earth will no longer experience the consequences of sin, disease, or death.

For many of those who contact us this can be a very difficult subject. No one wants to cause separation with their loved ones.  A good family relationship is desirable, but you must consider your allegiance to Yahweh’s family as primary. Yahweh has a plan for each person and life is His final judgment. Death is destroyed. We must each approach our own way on our own merits. What we decide cannot be applied to someone else. But upon reflection, I would think that it would be more desirable to have a close relationship with the Messiah, our Creator, and be with him for eternity in the kingdom of Yahweh.

Don’t allow your calling to be left by the wayside, made impotent by the stony ground or be killed by the weeds. These are only metaphors for the cares and worries of the world. To take advantage of our calling, we must be willing to come out of the world.

During the month of October, we observe the feast of trumpets or shouting. This is the first high day in the seventh Hebrew month. (Leviticus 23:24; Hebrews 6:2) This day represents the return of Messiah and the resurrection of the firstfruits. Revelation 14:1 indicates there will be only 144,000 who successfully complete their calling and are in the better resurrection.

The Light of YahwehShua is not here to evangelize the world. We are here to be of service to those who want to take advantage of their calling from the Father. We are the body of Messiah that desires to build up the body and support its members.

We are approaching the end time. Difficult days lie ahead. The beast will overcome us as well as the two witnesses who are our brethren.  (Revelation 11: 3)  We will all stand firm and die in YahwehShua.

How will you respond to your calling? You may contact us for more information. Should you wish to accept your calling and bear fruit, you must first be baptized in the name of YahwehShua.

After baptism you will need the support and strength of the body of Messiah. This is only the beginning. There is much to learn. But, we are here to help. You are under no obligation to us, but you do have one to the Father. The Father calls and the Son chooses. (John 15:16)

Once baptized in the name of YahwehShua, your judgment begins. As a baptized member of the body, you become part of the house of Yahweh.  As part of the house of Yahweh, you will be undergoing your judgment. (1 Peter 4:17) The rest of the world will not be judged until after their resurrection. Should you overcome you will have a truly “better” resurrection to look forward to.

Yahweh has a plan for all mankind. To really gain more understanding about this plan, you must first be baptized in YahwehShua and become part of the body of Messiah. The reward is magnificent however, “we must through much tribulation enter into the kingdom of Yahweh.” (Acts 14:22) But Paul gives us hope in Philippians 4:13: “I can do all things through Messiah which strengtheneth me.”  Messiah gives us this very personal hope in Hebrews 13:5: “I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.”

THE NEW COVENANT FEASTS OF YAHWEH

We are in the age of the new covenant. The old covenant was terminated when Messiah Yahshua died on the tree. How did this happen? The prophet Jeremiah gives us some insight as to how to answer this question in Jeremiah 3:14:      “Turn, O backsliding children, saith Yahweh; for I am married to you: and I will take you one of a city, and two of a family, and I will bring you to Zion.”

Yes, Yahweh was married to the children of Israel at Mount Sinai. That covenant was a marriage covenant. However, Messiah’s wife betrayed him and killed him. When he died on the tree, both he and his wife were released from the obligation of their marriage covenant. The apostle Paul confirms this in 1 Corinthians 7:39:  “The wife is bound by the law as long as her husband liveth; but if her husband be dead, she is at liberty to be married to whom she will; only in Adonai.”

The new covenant began on Pentecost when the Spirit of Yahweh was given to the disciples and thousands of others. Pentecost is the Greek word for the Hebrew feast of Shavuoth. This feast began with the marriage ceremony on Mount Sinai. It is of note that the new covenant began at the same time of the year that the old covenant was initiated at Mount Sinai. The Sinai covenant was new at that time, but it became old with the death of Messiah.

This new covenant was not a surprise. Yahweh, the Son, foretold this in Jeremiah 31:31-32:

“Behold, the days come, saith Yahweh, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah. Not according to the covenant I made with their fathers in the day that I took him by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt; which my covenant they brake, although I was a husband unto them saith Yahweh.”

The apostle Paul quoted this scripture in Hebrews 8:8-9, but he tells us even more in verses 6-7:

“But now he hath obtained a more excellent ministry, by how much also he is a mediator of a better covenant, which was established upon better promises.  For if the first covenant[the old]  had been faultless, then should no place have been sought for the second.” [the new]

Now, let’s compare the listing of Yahweh’s feast days presented in Leviticus 23 to those listed under the new covenant in Hebrews 6:1-2. We will begin with Leviticus 23:

Passover - verse five

Unleavened bread - verse six

Shavuoth  - verses 15-16

Day of Shouting (Trumpets)  - verse 24

Day of Coverings or Yom Kippurim (atonement) - verse 27

Feast of Tabernacles  - verse 34

The Last Great Day or Yom Gadol  - verse 39

You will note that the King James Bible translation says these events are instituted, “for ever”.  However, when you look at the Hebrew word from which for ever is translated, olam, you will discover the best meaning is a period of time. These feasts are not eternal or perpetual, but is age abiding or temporary. Changes can be and will be made.

Now, let’s consider the listing that Paul provides us in Hebrews 6:1-2:

Repentance from dead works - Passover

Faith toward Yahweh - Unleavened Bread  First Sabbath

Doctrine of baptisms  - Unleavened Bread  2nd Sabbath, water baptism

Laying on of hands  - Pentecost/Shavuoth  baptism of the Spirit

The resurrection of the dead  - Day of Shouting   the resurrection of the firstfruits

Eternal judgment - The Last Great Day   judgment by the firstfruits

The spring (in the northern hemisphere) feasts remain the same as listed in Leviticus 23 except for Passover.  Passover is replaced by the Last Supper in the New Covenant. However, significant changes do occur for the fall feasts.  According to the doctrine of Messiah, Yom Kippurim as well as the Feast of Tabernacles are no longer required under the new covenant. These two feast days are only relevant to physical Israel. They are not required of spiritual Israel, the firstfruits.

The King James translation does not use the words, Yom Kippurim, when referring to the tenth of the seventh month. A man-made word, atonement, is used in its place. This word does not adequately reflect the meaning of this day. This is a day that Yahweh designated for the temporary covering of sin by animal blood. Yom Kippurim, or Day of Coverings, is a better description of what Yahweh intended for that day.  What Messiah accomplished on the tree was more comprehensive than Yom Kippurim. Messiah did not just cover our sins; he cleansed us from ALL sin. (1 John 1:7, 9; Hebrews 1:3)

The Levitical High Priest offered animal sacrifices annually because they could not cover sin permanently.  The original requirement for a sin offering was to be the blood of man. Animal blood was just a temporary substitute until Messiah was born. The Levitical law did not provide for using a man’s blood. You will not find any reference in Levitical law for the sacrifice that Messiah was required to make. This original human blood requirement is found in Genesis 9:5-6:

“And surely your blood of your lives will I require; at the hand of every beast will I require it, and at the hand of man; at the hand of every man’s brother will I require the life of a man. Whoso sheddeth man’s blood, by man shall his blood be shed: for in the image of Elohim made he man.”

What Messiah accomplished was to cleanse or reconcile mankind from ALL sin. This was a permanent solution! Messiah shed his perfect, undefiled blood ONCE. (Hebrews 9:26) There was no further need for an annual repetition. With the death of Messiah, Yom Kippurim was canceled.

Paul tells us in Romans 5:10 that Messiah RECONCILED us by his death. The word reconciled is in the past tense. He completed the removal of our sin by his death. There is no longer a necessity for the annual repetition of Yom Kippurim. To continue the observance of Yom Kippurim is to ignore the apostle John’s admonition to follow the doctrine of Messiah and repudiates Messiah’s sacrifice.  Messiah's sacrifice occurred on the day of Passover NOT the Day of Coverings (Yom Kippurim).

How important is the doctrine of Messiah? Let’s review what the apostle John tells us about the doctrine of Messiah in 2 John 7-9:

“For many deceivers are entered into the world, who confess not that YahwehShua Messiah is come in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an anti-messiah.  Look to yourselves, that we love not those things which we have wrought, but that we receive a full reward.  Whosoever transgresseth and abideth not in the doctrine of Messiah hath not Yahweh. He that abideth in the doctrine of Messiah, he hath both the Father and Son.”

Remember, this comes from the disciple who Messiah loved, who was allowed to die from old age, and not martyrdom. He gives us very strong counsel. We must have the name of both the Father and the Son to become firstfruits to join Messiah when he returns.

We must have the name of both the Father and Son, YahwehShua. Messiah’s human name was blotted out. Therefore, we must have his inherited name. By having his inherited name we are obedient to the Scriptures.  Please consider carefully what John tells us in 1 John 3: 22-24:

“And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight.     And this is his commandment, that we should believe on the name of his Son YahwehShua Messiah, and love one another, as he gave us commandment.  And he that keepeth his commandments dwelleth in him, and he in him. And hereby we know that he abideth in us, by the Spirit which he hath given us.”

Yes, we must have his inherited name, but we also must keep his commandments. The doctrine of Messiah is included in his commandments. If we are baptized in the name of YahwehShua, but do not continue in obedience to his commandments, we can lose His Spirit.

Please consider Revelation 14:1 where we are introduced to the firstfruits who had the name of both the Father and Son on their foreheads. These resurrected saints overcame by being obedient to the doctrine of Messiah. To be in the better resurrection, you must be baptized in the name of the Father and Son, YahwehShua AND be obedient to all commandments including the doctrine of Messiah.

The doctrine of Messiah is of the new covenant. It introduces the change in the feast days listed in Leviticus 23. You must leave the old covenant behind and embrace the new covenant.

The apostle John really makes the point as to the importance of the doctrine of Messiah. Yom Kippurim could be a real stumbling block for the elect. Let me address this further by reviewing another key reference to Yom Kippurim found in Leviticus 16. Here, you find the description of the ritual conducted that day by the High Priest. He selects two goats and presents them to Yahweh. By casting lots, one is selected to die and the other to live. The Azazel goat, the one who lives, is sent out to the wilderness.

There is much speculation about whom these two goats represent. Most believe that the goat that dies is Messiah, while others believe that the one who lives is Satan. It is upon the Azazel goat that the High Priest lays the iniquities of the children of Israel.

Another perspective is that the two goats both represent Messiah. They represent a single sin offering, therefore a single entity. The first goat provides the blood, foreshadowing the blood of Messiah. The second goat bears the sin. It was Messiah who bore the sin of the world. (Isaiah 53:11)  The bearing of iniquity is a function of the High Priest as we learn in Exodus 28:38. The Light of YahwehShua supports this belief that the two goats represent Messiah.

However, let’s look at the other belief that the second goat represents Satan. There are those who believe that Yom Kippurim occurs on the same day that Satan is imprisoned after Messiah returns. This belief also allows that since this date for imprisonment is Yom Kippurim, then Satan is released one thousand years later on that same date. But, there is no scriptural support for this belief. There is a reference in a non-canonical source, the Book of Enoch, as well as in the traditions of the Jews. This scripturally unsupported belief may allow many to hold onto their continued observance of Yom Kippurim, despite the apostle John’s strong testimony.

Hebrews 6:1-2, the doctrine of Messiah, clearly omits Yom Kippurim. The apostle John also clearly urged the keeping of the doctrine of Messiah. The myth of Satan being the second goat and the myth of Satan being imprisoned/released on Yom Kippurim are dangerous beliefs that could keep the elect out of the kingdom.

The first step to the kingdom is baptism (including having hands laid on you by an elder in the faith) the name of YahwehShua. Once baptized properly, you must then begin the process of overcoming. Overcoming requires obedience. If you dismiss the clear direction of the doctrine of Messiah, you jeopardize your being in the kingdom. Remember, what Paul tells us in Hebrews 10:26:  “If we sin willfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins.”

Those who are called and chosen to be firstfruits must always seek to grow in knowledge. We must always be Bereans and continue our studies into the truth of the Scriptures. If we find something we are doing that is wrong, then we must repent and change. We have a High Priest who knows every person that he has chosen. He will listen and help us. (Hebrews 4:15-16) If we stop growing, then the Spirit of Messiah may stop being formed and even become quenched.

I am reminded of Revelation 18:4 where a voice from heaven says this“Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins and that ye receive not of her plagues.” Part of Babylon’s problem is that it is enmeshed in the old covenant. It has other problems as well.

I believe this verse could be addressed to the elect. We are the only ones being judged at this time. (1 Peter 4:17) We must acknowledge that the old covenant is no longer applicable to us. It is to the new covenant that we owe our allegiance, which includes the doctrine of Messiah.

I have not yet mentioned the Feast of Tabernacles. It too is no longer required, according to the doctrine of Messiah. This feast is reinstated along with the Levitical priesthood and animal sacrifices, as told to us in the book of Ezekiel, which occurs during the 1000-year reign of Messiah.  When you review this Scriptural reference, you will note that while the Feast of Tabernacles is referred to, there is no reference to Yom Kippurim or even a High Priest.

Messiah’s one time sacrifice has given all mankind the gift of life. Life is free. The kingdom is not. The kingdom is the inheritance of all those who received the Spirit and overcame. Those who do not overcome go into the age abiding lake of fire and then into the new heavens and earth. They will not be in the kingdom, but outside. (Revelation 21:8; 22:15) Even though they will not be in the kingdom, they will be alive on the spiritual level.

This article is not for the world. I am speaking to those whom the Father is calling. (John 6:44) These are the ones who may become first fruits. If you are not baptized in YahwehShua, please consider doing so.  As you study, you can learn more about the doctrine of Messiah and the omission of Yom Kippurim (atonement) and Tabernacles. It is a worthwhile study.

If you are baptized in YahwehShua’s name, but still adhere to some of the practices of the old covenant, in opposition to the doctrine of Messiah, please pray for truth and repent. Some of our brethren have reverted to the human name, Yahshua, contrary to what we learn in Deuteronomy 29:20! Other brethren, while still keeping the name YahwehShua, follow Leviticus 23 of the old covenant, which is contrary to what is revealed in the doctrine of Messiah. The keeping of the old covenant is a deception that many do not see. It is this deception that could blindside the elect and keep them out of the kingdom. (Mark 13:22)

Come out of her MY PEOPLE!

ADDENDUM:  The Original High Priest

The first High Priest we are introduced to is Aaron, the brother of Moses. It is through this Levitical or Aaronic system of priesthood that we learn about the duties of the High Priest. Where did this information come from? It was revealed to Moses when he was on Mount Sinai. Paul tells us this about the instructions given to Moses in Hebrews 8:5:

(Who perform divine service for a Symbol and Shadow of the HEAVENLIES; even as Moses, when about to construct the Tabernacle was divinely admonished; for “See” says he, “that thou make all things according to THAT PATTERN shown to thee on the MOUNT;)” (Diaglott)

While Aaron is the first High Priest we are introduced to, he is not the original High Priest. The heavenly pattern for the original High Priest is revealed in Zechariah 3:1:  “And he showed me Yahshua [Messiah’s human name] the High Priest standing before the angel of Yahweh, and Satan standing at his right hand to resist him.”  More information about this original pattern for the High Priest is found in the book of Hebrews. We learn in Hebrews 8 about another name of this High Priest, Melchisedek.

Yahweh’s High Priest was in place before Aaron was appointed to his position. We learn about Yahweh’s original High Priest through what we are told about Aaron. For example, Aaron had two important duties as revealed in Exodus 28:38:

“And it shall be upon Aaron’s forehead, that Aaron may bear the iniquity of the holy things, which the children of Israel shall hallow in all their holy gifts; and it shall be always upon his forehead, that they may be accepted before Yahweh.

The duties of bearing the iniquity and making the people accepted were given to Aaron by Moses.

Aaron was only allowed to sacrifice animals, which only provided a temporary covering for the sins of Israel. The only acceptable sacrifice, but not available in their Levitical law, is found in Genesis 9:5-6:

“And surely your blood of your lives will I require; at the hand of every beast will I require, it and at the hand of man; at the hand of every man’s brother will I require the life of a man.  Whoso sheddeth man’s blood, by man shall his blood be shed: for in the image of Elohim made he man.”

We have learned that everything is patterned after the heavenly original. However, the sacrifices were not. Aaron was only able to offer animal blood. The original requirement was man’s blood. To meet the requirement to redeem all mankind, Melchisedec, the true High Priest, had to become human.

Melchisedec, the Son of Yahweh or the Messiah, who eventually inherited the name of YahwehShua, had to exchange his glorious heavenly form for a human body. Hebrews 10:5 describes it as follows:  “Wherefore when he cometh into the world, he saith, sacrifice and offering thou wouldest not, but a body thou hast prepared me.”

Before he took on a human form, he was in a glorious state with his Father (John 17:5) He gave this up for a human body which allowed him to become the perfect sacrifice to reconcile all mankind from the bondage of sin.

Isaiah, chapter 53, is an excellent description of the Messiah and his role as redeemer. In verse six we are told, “Yahweh hath laid on him the iniquity of us all.”This statement reiterates one of the two duties of the High Priest. This confirms who is our High Priest. Our High Priest, our redeemer is Messiah, not Satan. (Hebrews 9:11)

Now is a good time to refer back to Leviticus 16 where we learned about Yom Kippurim and the two-goat sin offering. In verse 21 we are told that, “Aaron, shall lay both of his hands upon the head of the live goat, and confess over him all the iniquities of the children of Israel.”

We learned in Isaiah 53 that Yahweh laid all the iniquities of mankind on Messiah. It was Messiah that shed his blood as represented by the first goat who is sacrificed. The second, Azazel goat, had the iniquity laid on him and then released alive.

Nowhere in Scripture are we told that Satan had the iniquity of mankind laid on him. The two goats of Yom Kippurim both represent Messiah. Satan is not involved in Yom Kippurim. There is no scriptural support for Satan being imprisoned or released on the 10thday of the seventh month. Yom Kippurim was an age abiding, temporary requirement and now a holdover from the old covenant that is no longer necessary.

The original High Priest, Melchizedek, the Messiah, was the only one capable of having all sin laid on him. He was without sin and willing to become the lamb of Yahweh. We, who are being called to become firstfruits, have the opportunity to become priests of the order of Melchizedek. We can become close to this remarkable High Priest, THE ORIGINAL HIGH PRIEST.

Do You Believe that ALL Scripture is True?

The apostle Paul thought so!  While instructing Timothy in 2 Timothy 3:16 he said this:  “All scripture is given by the inspiration of Elohim, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness.”

In verse 15 of this pericope, Paul said that from childhood Timothy “had known the holy Scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation.”The Scriptures Paul was referring to is the Old Testament as the New Testament was not yet available. When Messiah quoted or referred to Scriptures, he meant the Old Testament.

Paul believed all Scriptures came from Yahweh. They could not contain lies because Paul tells us in Hebrews 6:18 that:  “it was impossible for Elohim to lie.”

Peter tells us in 1 Peter 2:22 that Messiah did not sin. Messiah also addresses his truthfulness in John 14:6:  “I am the way, the truth, and the life.”

Messiah often taught from the Scriptures. (Luke 24:27) Messiah would have only taught the truth and never lied. He often quoted or referred to the Scriptures, but never said the Scriptures or any Scriptures or even a part of Scriptures were lies. For a sample of what Messiah said regarding Scriptures, please review the following verses:  John 7:38, 10:35, 13:18, 17:12, Mark 12:10, or Luke 4:21.  Especially note John 5:39 where the Messiah says:  “Search the Scriptures: for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me.”

Would Messiah, who did not sin, did not lie and was declared to be the Son of Yahweh send you on a wild goose chase? I think not. He was serious when he said to search the Scriptures!  Well then, let’s search the Old Testament Scriptures. Let us begin with a verse from the Scriptures found in Deuteronomy 29:20

“Yahweh will not spare him, but then the anger of Yahweh and his jealousy shall smoke against that man, and all the curses that are written in this book shall lie upon him and Yahweh shall blot out his name from under heaven.”

Who is this man that is being referred to in this verse? Paul believes this man is Messiah. He refers to this verse in Galatians 3:13:  “Messiah has redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, cursed is everyone that hangeth on a tree:”

Paul declares that Messiah was made a curse for us. He also says that man was hung on a tree. This too identifies Messiah who did not die on the cross. That is a myth. The truth is he did die on a tree as prophesied in Deuteronomy 21:23:

“And if a man have committed a sin worthy of death, and he be put to death, and thou hang him on a tree; His body shall not remain all night upon the tree, but thou shalt in any wise bury him that day: (for he that is hanged is accursed of Elohim;) that thy land be not defiled, which Yahweh thy Elohim giveth thee for an inheritance.”

Luke confirms that Messiah died on a tree, and not a cross, in the book of Acts 5: 30, 10:39, and 13: 29. The Apostle Peter also supports this in 1 Peter 2:24.

Paul did not challenge his use of the word tree in Galatians 3:13. He was not present when Messiah died on a tree, but he knew the disciples were. Luke, the author of the book of Luke and the book of Acts, also acknowledges that Messiah died on a tree. The Scriptures are consistent on this fact while man’s tradition is not supported.

If you do not believe that all Scripture, not translations, but the original Hebrew is true, don’t read this any further. My position is that all of the Hebrew Scriptures found in the Old Testament are true.

Why is this important? Take note of what we are told in the last clause of Deuteronomy 29:20.  This is a very curious statement. We are being told that when that man died, the name he had would be blotted out of the book of life. It is important to understand that Messiah is the only human to have died in sin. (1 John 1:7)  Therefore, Messiah, who died in sin, had his name blotted out.

When the Messiah died in sin what name did he have? It was the name given to him at birth, Yahshua. (Luke 1:31) The world is confused about his human name.  Some say his human name was Jesus, Yeshua, or even Yahushua. No matter which human name you wish to assign to him, according to Deuteronomy 29:20, that name was blotted out after his death in sin.

So, his human birth name was blotted out! If he lost his human name in death, what would his name be after his resurrection? We are told many times in the New Testament that he did have a name after his resurrection. In fact, we are told in Hebrews 1:4 that he inherited a new name. We must know what that new name is? Why?

Peter in Acts 2:38 tells us this:  “Repent, and be baptized everyone of you in the name of__________.”  I have purposely left that name blank at this time. The King James Version says the name is Jesus Christ.  Other translations may have Yahshua, Yeshua, or Yahushua. However, according to Deuteronomy 29:20, NONE of these are correct. If we are to perform a proper baptism, we must know his inherited name.  Baptism by any other name is not valid.

The apostle Peter makes a very strong declaration in Acts 4:12:  “Neither is their salvation in any other: there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.”  Now this is really important. We must know Messiah’s resurrected name for us to have access to salvation. His human birth name does not meet this requirement. That name is gone; blotted out.

For thousands of years, only one name was known as the name of salvation. That name was Yahweh. (Joel 2: 32) Paul quotes this verse in Romans 10:13. Luke also quotes this verse in Acts 2: 21. This confirms that the name of salvation cannot be the name of a man.  It has to be the name of Yahweh.

In Revelation 14:1, we are told that the 144,000 resurrected saints have a name written in their foreheads. Since they are successfully resurrected when Messiah returns, then that name is the name that allows them to be resurrected.

What name is that? The King James Version does not translate the Greek in that verse correctly. It says only his Father’s name, which would be Yahweh. However, the Greek is this: “his name and the name of his Father”.(Please refer to the Diaglott or the Companion Bible note.)

I have previously stated that according to Joel 2: 32, Yahweh is the name of salvation. The prophet Isaiah confirmed this in several Scriptures including: Isaiah 43: 3, 43:11, 45:15, and 45:21. The Father resurrected his Son. He would have done so in his own name, Yahweh. The inherited name would have to include the Father’s name. This is the name that would be used to resurrect the saints when Messiah returns.  This is why we are told that the name on the saints in Revelation 14:1 is a name that includes both the Father and Son. This inherited name must indicate that Yahweh saves. Messiah’s inherited name is YAHWEHSHUA, Yahweh Saviour.

This name of the Father and Son is consistent with the pattern established in the Old Testament for rendering Yahweh’s name. The name of Yahweh is often accompanied by a descriptive term. For example, you will find Yahweh Shalom (peace), Yahweh Rapheka (healer), or even a name for a future time, Yahweh Zidkenu, Yahweh our Righteousness. Please refer to The Companion Bible appendix four, for further information. Messiah qualified to be resurrected in his Father’s name, the name of salvation. He has earned the name, YahwehShua. This is the name above all names. (Acts 4: 12)  This is THE name by which we must be baptized. (Acts 2:38)  This is his name and his Father’s name!

You may hear many people say that they are Torah obedient or Torah compliant. However, this is a lie if they believe the name of salvation is a man’s name. As we have learned from Deuteronomy 29:20, the man’s name was blotted out.

The apostle John tells us what we need to do to be New Covenant compliant or obedient.  We find his guidance in 1 John 5:13:  “These things I have written to you, that you who believe on the name of the son of Yahweh may know that you have aionian[age-abiding] life.(Diaglott)  As we have learned, this name must be the resurrected name. John wrote these words after the resurrection. He knew the correct name and now you do as well.

Only the New Covenant is for the Firstfruits

As we grow in grace and knowledge, we have a better understanding of the difference between the old and new covenants.

Paul tells us in Hebrews 10:9:  “He taketh away the first, that he may establish this second.”

Paul also tells us this in 2 Corinthians 3:6:  “Who[Yahweh] also hath made us able ministers [servants] of the New Testament." (Covenant, see Strong’s 1242)

Messiah is also quoted as saying his blood is of the New Testament. (Covenant) (Matthew 26:28; Mark 14:24; Luke 22:20; 1 Corinthians 11:25)

I have learned more about the true meaning of Shavuoth, or Pentecost, with a deeper understanding of the new covenant. It is important for the firstfruits to leave the old covenant and embrace the new covenant.  Under the old covenant, Passover is observed as the Jews do today. Unleavened bread is eaten at that meal, and the night on which it is celebrated is the 15thof Abib.

Messiah taught us a new way to observe the meal he had with his disciples the night before the 15thof Abib. This meal was on the evening of the 14th,not during the days of unleavened bread that began the evening of the 15th.  The bread he gave to his disciples was leavened. That evening was not a true Old Covenant Passover meal, and did not occur after the sacrifice of the Passover lambs. Messiah was the Passover lamb and he did not die until the next afternoon at 3 PM.  Under the old covenant, the leavening was removed from the homes by noon before the lambs were sacrificed. Thus, the Jews’ Passover meal was served with unleavened bread.

According to Luke 22:15-16, Messiah would not eat anymore until the kingdom of Yahweh. See also Mark 14:25.

We also understand that the seven days of unleavened bread, following the departure of the Israelites from Egypt, represent the consecration of the firstborn as priests. They were the original priests before the Levites, and had to be consecrated as the pattern was revealed to Moses on Mount Sinai. These seven days of restricted movement along with unleavened bread is consistent with what we learn about the Levitical consecration in the book of Leviticus.

Exodus 13 shows us that Yahweh instructed Moses to sanctify or consecrate (Strong’s 6942) the firstborn. During this period of seven days, unleavened bread was eaten.  Aaron followed this same pattern. (Leviticus 8)

Our understanding of Shavuoth, or Pentecost in the Greek, has deepened as well. The seven weekly Sabbaths represent the consecration of the firstfruits. It is important to take note of the fact that the bread offering for Pentecost is two loaves of leavened bread, which is called the bread of the firstfruits. This is why we learn that Messiah gave his disciples leavened bread the night before his death, because these men represented the beginning of the firstfruits who were to become priests in the order of Melchisedec.

Each Sabbath in the count toward Pentecost represents an age. These seven ages are equivalent to the seven days of consecration, which are required to become priests or firstfruits.

            Sabbath                                  Age

              One                                      Adam

              Two                                      Noah

              Three                                   Abraham

              Four                                     Moses

              Five                                      David

              Six                                        Messiah

              Seven                                  Firstfruits

The pattern of consecration as revealed in Leviticus 8 is seven days and then on the eighth day, the priest begins to serve. (Leviticus 9:1) The firstfruits are called during the sixth age and resurrected in the seventh. However, Yahweh has known them before the foundation of the world. On the eighth or last great day, they begin their service as priests to judge the angels and mankind. (1 Corinthians 6:2-3)

For years I have learned and taught about Shavuoth from the perspective of the old covenant and the Israelites in the wilderness. I now view this period of time from the perspective of the new covenant. Each week of Pentecost, we can learn and discuss relevant topics from that age. Below are suggestions for each Sabbath or age:

1.   This is when the genetic material of the firstfruits was created and placed in Adam. Many would be called, but few chosen. Recall Levi in the loins of Abraham. (Hebrews 7:5, 10)

2.   Division and punishment were themes during this age of Noah. Recall that the name of Satan, Heylel, means divide and conquer.

3.   During this age of Abraham we are introduced to the concepts of calling and separation. When potential firstfruits are born, they begin a process of separation from the world. This is one aspect to the challenge that all firstfruits face.

4.   During this age of Moses we are introduced to the priesthood of the firstborn and Levites. It is here that we are introduced to the important concept of consecration. It is also a time to understand the patterns that were introduced to Moses.

5.   This is the fifth week and the spiritual significance of that number is grace or favor. Please review appendix 10 in the Companion Bible for the spiritual significance of numbers. This is the age of David who was granted grace despite his sins and disobedience. This is an opportunity to review the life of David and discover how he became a friend of Yahweh.

6.   Six is the number of man. Yahweh of hosts becomes incarnate. We are reconciled by his human death, but we are saved by his resurrected life and his name of life. (Romans 5:10)

7.   This is the age when the firstfruits are resurrected. The earth enjoys prosperity for 1000 years while the firstfruits are with Messiah for one day in spiritual time. (2 Peter 3:8) We will complete our preparation to become judges on the last great day. It is of note that the sixth book of the Old Testament is named Yahshua, while the seventh book is named Judges.

The themes of the seven Sabbaths and Pentecost no longer focus only on the physical Israelites in the wilderness. During this time we can learn more about the preparation of the firstfruits throughout the ages and the completion of their consecration for service on the last great day as judges.

The pattern for priesthood is derived from the order of Melchisedec. The first-born Israelites and the Levites follow the same pattern. We must learn more about the order of Melchisedec in our role as firstfruits during the count toward Pentecost. The book of Hebrews is a good source for this deeper understanding. Also during Pentecost, we can review the book of Acts chapters 1 and 2, as well as the formation of the Spirit of Messiah and its significance to our overcoming.

This is also a good time to review the old covenant in Leviticus 23 and the new covenant perspective provided by Messiah in Hebrews 6:1-2. The Hebrews reference omits Coverings or Atonement and the Feast of Tabernacles. We must learn the significance of these differences and embrace the new. As we are taught to discern between clean and unclean, we must also discern between the old and new and fully participate in the new covenant.
