MORE TRUTH ABOUT YOM KIPPUR, aka THE DAY OF ATONEMENT

In Leviticus 23:27 Yahweh declares:

“Also on the tenth day of the seventh month there shall be a day of atonement:

[Strong’s 3725 kippurim, a Hebrew plural noun meaning covering] it shall be an holy convocation unto you; and ye shall afflict your souls and offer an offering made by fire unto Yahweh.”

Yahweh speaks to us again in Leviticus 16: 34:

“And this shall be an everlasting [Hebrew OLAM, Strong’s 5769, age-abiding, not permanent or eternal] statute unto you, to make an atonement[Strong’s 3722, kapar] for the children of Israel for all their sins once a year. And he did as Yahweh commanded Moses.”

We firstfruits refer to this day as Yom Kippurim or Day of Coverings. The Israelites’ sin was covered by animal blood. This is consistent with the Hebrew in the above verses from Leviticus.

Atonement is a poor translation made by William Tyndale in the 16thcentury. For more information about Tyndale, consider these sources:

“William Tyndale And the Language of At-one-ment” by David Ralph Seely found at

Rsc.byu.edu.  The following is a sample quote:  “William Tyndale ( d 1536 ), reformer and translator, is the true father of the English Bible.   Tyndale was the first to use Jehovah, Passover, atonement, scapegoat, and mercy seat in his translation of the Old Testament.”

“The word atonement is the only theological term of English origin.”

The True Meaning of Atonement by Harry Freedman from the Jewishjournal.com

Yom Kippurim was a high day or Sabbath set aside by Yahweh each year to cover or hide the sin of the Israelites with animal blood. Each year the Levitical High Priest would enter the Holy of Holies alone and sprinkle animal blood on the seat of the Ark of Covenant. This foreshadowed the blood of Messiah that was to be shed at a future time. However, when Messiah Yahshua died on the tree at 3pm on the 14thof Abib there was no longer a necessity for the annual observance of Yom Kippurim. The unique and precious blood of Messiah covered the sin of ALL mankind, not just the Israelites. (1 John 1: 7)

Does the New Testament offer any insight into the use of atonement?  Atonement is found only once in Romans 5:11:  “And not only so, but we also joy in Yahweh through our Sovereign YahwehShua Messiah, by whom we have now received the atonement.” Atonement is used to translate the Greek word, katallage, which is Strong’s 2643 and is better translated as reconciliation. Notice how the verb of this Greek noun is used in the previous verse, Romans 5: 10:

“For when we were enemies, we were reconciled [Strong’s 2644, katallasso, a verb] by the death of his Son, much more being reconciled, [Strong’s 2644] weshall be saved by his life.”

Paul says we are already reconciled. There is nothing further to be done. Look at what Paul says in Hebrews 2: 17: “to make reconciliation for the sins of the people.”

Paul tells us in Hebrews 9: 28 that “Messiah was once offered to bear the sins of man.”  The Levitical High Priest offered animal blood once each year. Messiah’s offering is permanent, not age-abiding.

The annual observance of Yom Kippurim has been nullified by the one-time offering of Messiah’s blood. There is no Scripture in the New Testament that requires us to continue the observance. This is similar to the rite of circumcision. It was required under the Old Covenant. However, we learned in Acts 15 that it had been nullified; done away with. In Colossians 2: 11-12 we are taughtthat circumcision was replaced by water baptism. Similarly, Yom Kippurim has been replaced. To continue to observe Yom Kippurim is to repudiate Messiah’s sacrifice.

What is reconciliation? Messiah’s blood covered all the sin of mankind. This free gift does not require repentance. This gift gives ALL mankind life. Every human that has ever existed will be resurrected and eventually live in the new heavens and earth. In Romans 5:11 above we are told: “much more being reconciled; we shall be saved by his life.”Is being saved better than just life.  Yes! All are reconciled but not all are saved. To be saved means you will have an inheritance, not just life. That inheritance is living in the Kingdom of Yahweh in New Jerusalem.  All those resurrected when Messiah returns will have that inheritance, but not all those that are resurrected on the Last Great Day. Many in that resurrection will receive an inheritance but not all. Those not receiving an inheritance will be living in the new heavens and earth, but outside New Jerusalem.

During the 1000 years following Messiah’s return, Levitical priests will again be performing animal sacrifices. We are told this in Ezekiel 45: 15:  “And one lamb out of the flock, out of two hundred, out of the fat pastures of Israel; for a meat offering, and for a burnt offering, and for peace offerings, to make reconciliation for them, saith the Sovereign Yahweh.”  During the 1000 years baptism will not be available. Satan is put away so the same conditions that the firstfruits experience in this age will not exist at that time. All who die during those years will have their opportunity for an inheritance in the Last Great Day.

But take note that Ezekiel in this same chapter mentions only Passover, seven days of unleavened bread, and the Feast of Tabernacles on the fifteenth day of the seventh month. Yom Kippur is not mentioned once! All mankind is already reconciled by the one-time sin offering of Messiah’s blood. During the 1000 years the Levitical sacrifices are only required of the Israelites who are living in the promised land. Yahweh has restored their earthly kingdom and the Levitical priesthood and sacrifices are required.

The firstfruits of the Light of YahwehShua do not observe Yom Kippur, aka atonement or Day of Coverings, for the following reasons:

1.    The shedding of Messiah’s blood only one time was sufficient to cover all sin. We accept that one sacrifice. To continue to observe Yom Kippur is a repudiation of His blood as a sin offering for all mankind.  Please review Hebrews 9: 22- 28.

2.    We remember Messiah’s sacrifice on the day of Passover, Abib 14. He told us “this do in remembrance of me.”(Luke 22: 19)  Paul quoted this in 1 Corinthians 11: 24. We are told once and then again reminded by Paul. It is important. It replaces Yom Kippur.

3.    The Doctrine of Messiah found in Hebrews 6: 1-2 is the listing of the Feasts we are now required to observe under the new covenant during this age. Yom Kippur and the Feast of Tabernacles are not included. Please refer to Hebrews 6: 1-2 to compare my list of the days we observe listed below.

Repentance from dead works—Passover

Faith toward Yahweh---Unleavened Bread, the first Sabbath

Doctrine of Baptisms—Unleavened Bread, the 2ndSabbath, water baptism

Laying on of hands—Pentecost/Shavuoth, baptism of the Spirit

The resurrection of the dead—Yom Teruah/trumpets/Day of Shouting, resurrection of the firstfruits

Eternal judgment—the Last Great Day, resurrection of the rest of ALL mankind and their judgment

4.    We do not want to condone the observance of Yom Kippur by Judaism or any other religious group.  Judaism added a practice about 1000 CE as an addition to Yom Kippur that we also reject. That is the prayer of kol nidre which is said at the beginning of the service. To provide you with some insight about this prayer, I am going to quote a passage from a book by Benjamin Freedman, “Facts Are Facts.” This excerpt is found on page XIX.  Mr. Freedman was formerly a member of the Jewish faith who later converted to Catholicism.

“Do you know what Jews do on the Day of Atonement, that you think is so sacred to them? I was one of them. This is not hearsay.  I am not here to be a rabble-rouser. I’m here to give you facts. When, on the Day of Atonement, you walk into a synagogue, you stand up for the very first prayer that you recite. You repeat three times a short prayer called the Kol Nidre. In that prayer, you enter into an agreement with God Almighty that any oath, vow, or pledge that you may make during the next twelve months shall be null and void. The oath shall not be an oath; the vow shall not be a vow; the pledge shall not be a pledge. They shall have no force or effect.”

I would encourage you to obtain this book by Freedman and read his revelations for yourself. The internet is helpful as well. The Kol Nidre is a form of deception sanctioned by the Talmudic Rabbis.  Beware!

There are many mistranslations in the Bible. In fact, there are NO completely accurate translations, You must study the Hebrew and Greek words to understand what is actually being written in the Scriptures.  I recommend a Strong’s Concordance as a necessary study tool.  You will not find the Kol Nidre, the Trinity, or Hell in the Scriptures.  Words are important. If not used correctly you can be deceived.

THIS AGE IS THE ONLY DAY OF SALVATION FOR THE FIRSTFRUITS:

The rest of mankind has their day later.

Yahweh in several Scriptures, promised salvation, but it was the prophet Isaiah who revealed that there was an actual day or time period of salvation that was available. Yahweh revealed this to him in Isaiah 49:8:  “Saith Yahweh, in an acceptable time have I heard thee, and in a day of salvation have I helped thee:” (King James Version, (KJV))

This verse was quoted by Paul in 2 Corinthians 6:2, but the translators confused the message by saying “the” day of salvation. How did this mistranslation cause a problem? This mistake allowed many religionists to teach that mankind has to be saved, “today”. You must be saved now, in this day or age. Those who were not called to know Messiah at this time are lost. This mis-understanding supports the concept of hell and eternal damnation.

Paul’s quote from Isaiah is correctly rendered in Rotherham’s Emphasized Bible: “For he saith—In an approved season have I hearkened unto thee, And in a day of salvation have I succoured thee; Lo! Now, a well approved season.  Lo! Now, a day of salvation.”

This confusion exists because of a peculiar phenomenon in the Hebrew and Greek languages. Both languages have a definite article, but not an indefinite article. There is a significant difference in the meaning between a “the” and an “a”. There is agreement among scholars that in both Isaiah 49:8 and 2 Corinthians 6:2 that no definite articles are used in reference to an acceptable time or day of salvation. You will not find any Bible translation that provides a consistent truth about the Scriptures. You must consider them all suspect and constantly refer back to the original languages. Do not assume truth without verifying it. The use of a good concordance, such as a Strong’s Concordance, is mandatory, however, even that concordance has some errors.

Paul’s quote of Isaiah is but one example of an omission, grammatical error, or inappropriate translation that can lead to a false understanding of the truth. People are indoctrinated into the concept of hell and eternal damnation without their understanding that there is no Scriptural proof of these beliefs. There is biblical proof due to mistranslations. Bible translations of Scripture are not adequate. When you wish to study the Scriptures, you must become a good student and not just accept what the translations tell you. You cannot trust them without verification.

According to religionists, those not called at this time will go to hell. However, the book of Revelation speaks about two resurrections, one when Messiah returns, and another at the end of the thousand years. (Revelation 20:4-5) What an odd perspective! It seems strange that one would die and go to heaven or hell and then be resurrected. You would already have your reward. What good would a resurrection be to you at that time?

Another Scripture religionists rely upon to support the false belief in hell and eternal torture is the King James Version (KJV) of Mark 3:29: “But he that shall blaspheme the Holy Ghost hath never forgiveness, but is in danger of eternal damnation.” Let’s turn again to the Rotherham Emphasized Bible for a more accurate translation of the Greek behind this verse:  “But whosoever shall revile against the Holy Spirit, hath no forgiveness unto times age-abiding, but is guilty of an age-abiding sin.”  The term age-abiding is significantly different than eternal. Age-abiding (Strong’s number 166) has a beginning and an end. The word eternal is considered to be permanent, or never ending.

This same translation error exists in the Hebrew as well. The Hebrew word, OLAM, (Strong’s 5769) is translated with over 20 different English words. These include, for ever, perpetual, eternal or never. This translation gives the reader a belief that these concepts that are being discussed are permanent and unchangeable. However, this is not what the Hebrew is saying.

Let us look at the translation of OLAM in the KJV of Exodus 2:6: “Then his [a servant] master shall bring him to the door, or unto the doorpost; and his master shall bore his ear through with an aul, and he shall serve him for ever.”  The English words, for ever,  are translated from the Hebrew word, OLAM. In this case, OLAM is only for the rest of the lifetime of that servant. That servant will not live forever, nor will their servitude last forever. Rotherham translates the Hebrew with age-abiding. There is a beginning and there is a definite end.

For another example, let’s look at Exodus 40:15 which is taken from the KJV: “And thou shalt anoint them, as thou didst anoint their father, that they may minister unto me in the priest’s office: for their anointing shall surely be an everlasting priesthood throughout their generations.”  Here OLAM  is translated as everlasting. The Rotherham Emphasized Bible uses age-abiding, and not everlasting. The Aaronic priesthood ceased after the destruction of the Temple in 70 AD. It returns in the millennium, but again ceases after that age. This priesthood will not exist in the new heavens and earth!

The word, OLAM, occurs 448 times in the KJV. It is translated with over 20 different English words. None of these words involve age or age-abiding. The Rotherham Bible correctly translates this word as age-abiding. Even the Greek Septuagint uses the Greek words, AION (Strong’s 165) or AIONIOS (Strong’s 166) to translate OLAM. These two Greek words, while translated incorrectly as eternal in the KJV, actually referred to a definite period of time that does have an ending. These three words do not indicate a permanent condition. The Greeks had it right.

Another major error found in the KJV is the translation of the Creator’s name. His name is not LORD, but YAHWEH. Consider this translation of Deuteronomy 5:11 found in the KJV:   “Thou shalt not take the name of the LORD thy God in vain: for the LORD will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain.” The New Jerusalem Bible, as well as the Rotherham Emphasized Bible, translates the Hebrew tetragrammaton correctly as Yahweh. Why is this so important? The word, vain, used in this verse is Strong’s 7723 which means worthless or false. This KJV  translation is false and disobeys the commandment of Yahweh.

Consider what Yahweh tells the prophet in Isaiah 42:8:  “I am Yahweh [not LORD]: that is my name.(emphasis mine).  The Creator is very definite about his name. Now consider that the YAHWEH of the Old Testament is actually Messiah. The apostle Paul reveals this to us in 1 Corinthians 10:4:  “And did all drink the same spiritual drink: for they drank of that Spiritual Rock that followed them: and that Rock was Messiah.”

Deuteronomy 5:11 also makes reference to God. If you change LORD to YAHWEH, then you are you equating Yahweh with God. Is Yahweh God? The Hebrew word (Strong’s 430) from which the English word, God is translated does not mean God. The correct translation is Elohim, which is a collective noun meaning mighty ones. This is an example of another lie found in a Bible translation.

Who is God? I am going to refer you to the Bullinger’s Companion Bible, Isaiah 65:11. Look at Bullinger’s note for this verse. Both Bullinger and the Septuagint both recognize that the word God is a reference to a demon or devil. This is the translation of Isaiah 65:11 from the Greek Septuagint:  “But ye are they that left me, and forgot my holy Mountain, and prepare a table for the devil.”  The name of God, in fact, refers to Satan. By saying, YAHWEH thy God, you are falsely proclaiming Yahweh as a devil. To say this once is enough! But the KJV repeats this over and over. Is this the way we should show our respect for Yahweh?

Why is a name so important? Let’s consider what we are told in Acts 4:12: “Neither is their salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.”  The apostle Paul revealed to us that Messiah is the Yahweh of the Old Testament.  John the Baptist proclaimed this as well. (John 1:29)  The prophet Joel tells us this in Joel 2:32:  “And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of Yahweh[not LORD] shall be delivered.”  When you cry for help and that cry depends on knowing the right name, then the name you use is extremely important. Do not be misled by a Bible translation. Your spiritual future depends on knowing the correct name for Messiah.

The religionists use a lot of ink to teach a false narrative. But there is a Scriptural truth you very rarely hear about which is found in Deuteronomy 29:20: “Yahweh will not spare him, but the anger of Yahweh and his jealousy shall smoke against that man, and all the curses that are written in this book shall lie upon him, and Yahweh shall blot out his name from under heaven.”,

If a human being dies in sin, their name is blotted out. Who died in sin? We are told this in 1 John 1:7:  “His Son cleanseth from all sin.”  Messiah took all the sin of mankind upon himself. He is the only human being to die in sin, and therefore have his name blotted out. But religionists do not teach you this. How else would you explain this curious reference to Messiah’s name in Hebrews 1:4:  “Being made so much better than the angels, as he hath by inheritance, obtained a more excellent name than they.” (emphasis mine)

Messiah changed names! He inherited a new name because he died in all the sins of mankind. Messiah was born under the law, so he therefore had to die under the law. (Galatians 4:4)  He therefore had to have his name blotted out to be obedient to the command given in Deuteronomy 29:20. He received the name, Yahshua at birth. That is the name that was blotted out. That name had been defiled with all the sin of mankind. It was not Messiah’s sin as he was without sin. As part of his acceptance by the Father, his defiled name was erased from the book of life and a new name assigned. What is this new name?

A clue is found in Revelation 14:1:  “And I saw, and lo! the Lamb standing upon the Mount Zion, and with him a one hundred forty four thousand, having his name and his Father’s name written upon their foreheads.” (Rotherham’s Emphasized Bible).   I did not quote the KJV translation, because it was not rendered correctly according to the Greek. The name on their foreheads was not the birth name of Messiah. It is the inherited name, which is a combination of the Father’s name and the Son’s name. That name is YahwehShua! (For Yahweh’s self-revelation refer to:  Isaiah 43:3, 11; 45:15, 21; 46:26; 60:16)  Yes, the Father’s name is Yahweh and the Son fulfilled his role as our savior.

Why is this relevant? You must know the correct name for Messiah, which he received after his resurrection. That is the name you must use for baptism. You cannot use his birth name, Yahshua,  or any other name such as Jesus, Yeshua or Yahushua. Any name other then YahwehShua is not acceptable to the Father.

Peter reveals the significance of baptism in Acts 2:38:  “Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of YahwehShua Messiah for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.”  The KJV says Jesus, but the better translation of that Greek word is Yahshua. However, neither is correct. We know from Deuteronomy 29:20 that the birth name of Messiah was blotted out. That there is a new name is confirmed in Hebrews 1:4. The gift that Peter mentioned is the Father’s Spirit and the earnest or down payment of the Son’s Spirit.  Why is this gift so important? The apostle Paul provides this answer in Romans 8:9-11:

“But ye not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of Elohim dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Messiah, he is none of his.  And if Messiah be in you, the body is dead, because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness.   But if the Spirit of him that raised up YahwehShua from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Messiah from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.”

It should be our desire to be counted as one of his. The apostle Paul tells us this in 1 Corinthians 15:23:  “But every man in his own order: Messiah is the firstfruits; afterward they that are Messiah’s at his coming.”  This gift allows us to be among those who will be coming with Messiah when he returns.

What religionists cannot or won’t tell you is that there are two Spirits involved in a successful baptism. First, there is the Father’s Spirit which is freely given. His Spirit provides the earnest or down payment of his Son’s Spirit. The Son’s Spirit matures throughout the process of overcoming. If that Spirit is appropriately mature at death, you will be in the better resurrection. (Hebrews 11:35)

The type of baptism that the world is familiar with is in the birth name of the Son. The name, YahwehShua, reflects the presence of two Spirits at the time of your baptism. Both are necessary, but it is the Son’s Spirit that will result in your resurrection when Messiah returns. Your immersion must be witnessed and then the critical part, the laying on of hands by an elder or overseer in YahwehShua is when you receive both Spirits. Simon Magus witnessed this important part of baptism. (Acts 8:17-18) His baptism was incomplete and therefore not accepted by the Father. We must have a complete baptism to be resurrected when Messiah returns.

There are two resurrections. Those who are being called in this age must strive for the first or better resurrection. This resurrection is for the firstfruits or saints. The rest of mankind will have their opportunity to be resurrected after the 1,000 years. (Revelation 20:5) You must know the correct name for baptism in order to be considered for the better resurrection. (Hebrews 11:35)

Now, do you understand the importance of the name? The inherited name of Messiah gives you an acceptable baptism which is the key to better resurrection.  Without the proper name, you and the rest of mankind must wait until the second resurrection. The firstfruits who are in the first resurrection will not have to face the second death. The rest of mankind must face a possible second death, the lake of fire.

The important truth is that all who die do not go to heaven or hell. All the dead are asleep and know nothing. (Ecclesiastes 9:5) All the dead await a resurrection. No hell, no heaven, just nothingness. The eventual destination for all is the new heavens and earth. This entry into the Spiritual kingdom will occur after the Last Great Day or eighth age. (Revelation 21:1; Isaiah 65:17) Not one human being is lost. (1 Corinthians 15:54) Yahweh is victorious!

The firstfruits have been chosen from the foundation of the world. (Ephesians 1:4) There will only be 144,000 resurrected when Messiah returns. (Revelation 7 and 14)  Many are called; few are chosen. (Matthew 22:14)

The firstfruits have been called by the Father (John 6:44) and chosen by the Son. (John 15:16). The firstfruits are called to be priests of Yahweh. (1 Peter 2:5) YahwehShua is our high priest. The firstfruits are called to be judges in the eighth age or Last Great Day. (1 Corinthians 6:2-3)

If you are reading this article, there is a chance you are being called. Is this your destiny? Contact us to learn more about being a firstfruit. The first step is baptism in the name of YahwehShua.

Without this baptism, you will have no connection to Yahweh in this age. According to the apostle Paul in Romans 8:7, our carnal mind is at enmity to Yahweh. Paul explains this further in Romans 3:9-18. Please review these Scriptures. Without the Spirit of the Messiah being formed within you (Galatians 4:19), there is no other way for you to develop that missing connection. Messiah YahwehShua is the only way! (John 14:6)

YOU can know the MYSTERIES OF THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN

Messiah, Himself, said we could! He tells us this in Matthew 13:11: “Because it is given unto you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it is not given.”

This answer was given to the disciples who asked why he spoke in parables. (Matthew 13:10) Messiah clarified their lack of understanding by informing them that he used parables only with those who were not called to know the truth. This aspect of Messiah’s ministry was prophesied in Psalm 78:2:  “I will open my mouth in a parable: I will utter dark sayings of old.”

We are told in Matthew 13:14 that by speaking in parables Messiah was also fulfilling the prophecy of Isaiah:  “And in them is fulfilled the prophecy of Isaiah, which saith, by hearing you shall hear and shall not understand; and seeing you shall see, and shall not perceive.”  This prophecy can be found in Isaiah 6:9. It is of note that it was Yahweh of hosts who spoke this to Isaiah. This Yahweh was the Son of Yahweh in his preexistence, before becoming the incarnate Messiah. Messiah gave the prophecy and then fulfilled it!

This message was not only for the disciples who accompanied Messiah while he was on the earth, but also for the firstfruits who have been called and chosen during this age. This calling began with the Pentecost following Messiah’s resurrection and will conclude with his return at the end of this age. All those who  have only heard parables, will hear the truth on the last great day, in the eighth age.

The Light of YahwehShua is a resource for those who are being called at this time. There is much truth available to the firstfruits. However, to open your mind to this truth, you must first be baptized in the name of YahwehShua.

On the day of Pentecost, the apostle Peter gave this message (Acts 2:38) to the assembled people:  “Repent and be baptized every one of you….”

When John the Baptist began his preaching, he said this in Matthew 3:2, “Repent ye: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.”

It was Isaiah the prophet who foretold that there would be someone to prepare the way for Messiah. We find this prophecy in Isaiah 40:3:  “The voice of him that crieth in the wilderness, prepare ye the way of Yahweh, make straight in the desert a highway for our Elohim.”  That someone would be John the Baptist! Also note, that in this prophecy, the way would be prepared for Yahweh. John the Baptist declared the way for Messiah, Yahshua. In this manner, John the Baptist is declaring that the Messiah is Yahweh. Yahweh was the name Messiah used during his Spiritual preexistence. John the Baptist knew this son of Yahweh, but only as the incarnate Messiah Yahshua. He had several names before receiving his birth name of Yahshua. As Yahweh of the Old Testament, he was known as Yahweh of hosts, Yahweh shalom, and several other names. For more information about Messiah’s various names in the Old Testament, please refer to Bullinger’s Companion Bible, appendix four, as well as the articles on this website.

Messiah is recorded in Matthew 4:17 as having the same message as John the Baptist:  “From that time Yahshua began to preach, and to say, Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.”  The phrase, kingdom of heaven, appears nowhere else in the New Testament. It is exclusively used by Matthew 31 times.

It has been nearly 2000 years since John the Baptist and the Messiah proclaimed that, “the kingdom of heaven is at hand.”Where is it? The answer is revealed in Luke 17:20-21:  “And when he[Messiah] was demanded of the Pharisees, when the kingdom of Yahweh should come, he answered them and said, the kingdom of Yahweh, cometh not with observation.  Neither shall they say, Lo here!, or, lo there!, for, behold, the kingdom of Yahweh is within you.” (emphasis mine)

Matthew writes about the kingdom of heaven exclusively, while other New Testament authors wrote about the kingdom of Yahweh. We may not be able to see the kingdom, but Messiah told us it can be found within us.  Where is it?

A clue is found in John 6:32-35:  “Then Yahshua said unto them, verily, verily, I say unto you, Moses gave you not that bread from heaven: but my Father giveth you the true bread from heaven.  For the bread of Yahweh is he which cometh down from heaven, and giveth life unto the world.  Then said they unto him, Sovereign, evermore give us this bread.   And Yahshua said unto them, I am the bread of life:” John has this additional information in verse 51 of this chapter: “The bread that I give is my flesh.”  Along with this revelation, consider what John tells us in John 1:14: “The word was made flesh, and dwelt among us.”

Yes, Messiah became flesh and blood and walked the earth. But that is not the bread he was talking about that should be eaten.  Remember, Messiah, spoke in parables.

Consider this quote from Messiah that John gives us in John 6:53-56: “Then Yahshua said unto them, verily, verily I say unto you, except ye eat the flesh of the Son of Man, and drink his blood ye have no life in you.  Whoso eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, hath age-abiding life; and I will raise him up at the last day.[of this age] For my flesh is meat indeed, and my blood is drink indeed.  He that eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, dwelleth in me, and I in him.”  (emphasis mine)

Many of the disciples who heard these words walked away. They had not been called to understand this parable. He was talking about himself as spiritual bread, not human flesh and blood. This is what Messiah was demonstrating to his disciples on the night of Abib 14 when he was betrayed. He offered them leavened bread as a parable describing his body. They ate that, not his flesh.

When Messiah gave his disciples the bread and grape juice on the night of his last supper with them, he was prefiguring physically what would happen, spiritually, on Pentecost. He did not tell them that this was what he was doing, so they had no clue as to what and why he was giving them this bread and juice at that time. They would only understand once it was fulfilled on Pentecost. Once Messiah was glorified and they received the earnest of His Spirit on Pentecost, their minds were open to more of the truth. (John 12:16) Up until that moment, they had only a carnal mind.  Receiving the promised Spirit on Pentecost was a mind-expanding experience for those disciples and all the others who were baptized that day. All who are baptized in the name of YahwehShua have the same opportunity.

Remember what Peter said on Pentecost, “repent and be baptized”. This was similar to what John the Baptist and Messiah both said. They said, “Repent ye: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.”

The leavened bread given to the disciples on the night he was betrayed had foreshadowed the Spirit given on Pentecost. The Spirit of the Father was freely given and along with that Spirit was the down payment of the Spirit of his Son. All who are baptized receive the down payment of his Spirit. (2 Corinthians 5:5)

The earnest or down payment of the Son’s Spirit at baptism is the bread that came down from heaven. When we are baptized in the name of YahwehShua, and have the hands of an elder in YahwehShua laid upon us, we are Spiritually ingesting the bread from heaven. That bread or Spirit which came down from heaven is the kingdom of heaven that John and Yahshua were speaking about. You are unable to see it, but after you are baptized in the name of YahwehShua, you will be able to experience it. With that baptism, the gradual displacement of your carnal mind begins. The Spiritual world will open up to you.

The kingdom of heaven or the kingdom of Yahweh dwells in the firstfruits that have been called and chosen during this age to receive the bread from heaven. If you are not able to understand this, even after praying for truth to Yahweh, then this may not be your time to be called. Your time will come, but later. Every human being that was ever conceived will be resurrected. All will have Spiritual life in the new heavens and earth. However, those who read these articles and pray for Yahweh’s truth are probably being called. Scripture tells us that many will be called, but few chosen. (Matthew 20:16) Don’t be discouraged.  Consider carefully what we are told in Matthew 7:7:  “Ask, and it shall be given you; Seek, and ye shall find; Knock, and it shall be opened unto you. “  Make the effort. You have everything to gain. We are here to help you.

The firstfruits have the earnest of Messiah’s Spirit being formed within them. (Galatians 4:19)  If that Spirit is fully formed by overcoming during their lifetime, they will be resurrected when Messiah returns. That fully formed Spirit allows us to be like Messiah in the resurrection. (1 John 3:2)

So, where is the kingdom of heaven?  It is within the firstfruits!  Please review Luke 17:21. During this age, it is only those called and chosen as firstfruits that eat the Spiritual bread from heaven, and have the kingdom of heaven Spiritually developed within them.

The Light of YahwehShua is here to be of assistance to those called by the Father to become firstfruits. We are not here to teach the world. Those not being called have only the carnal mind. That mind is at enmity with Yahweh. (Romans 8:7) They have not been given the ability to understand the parables of the Bible. If you believe that you are being called, then pursue that possibility. Again, refer to Matthew 7:7.

Bible translations hide much of the truth of Yahweh. They are not understandable unless it is given to you by the Father. What the world is unable to realize is what Paul tells us in Romans 8:7:  “Because the carnal mind is enmity against Elohim: for it is not subject to the law of Yahweh, neither indeed can be.”

All humans are born without a Spiritual connection to Yahweh. It is a Spiritual birth defect. That defect can only be cured with the earnest of Messiah’s Spirit given at baptism. However, this baptism must be in the name of YahwehShua. There is no substitute for this name. This is the name of faith. Paul explains faith in Hebrews 11:1:   “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.”

No Bible translation reveals the inherited name of Messiah. (Hebrews 1:4) They only reveal the birth name of Messiah, Yahshua, and usually get that wrong as well. Messiah died in sin under the law. (Deuteronomy 29:20) He became a curse for us. (Galatians 3:13) He took all sin upon himself, and because that name was defiled with our sin, he had to inherit a new name. He could not go before his Father with a sin-laden, defiled name. That new name is the name of salvation. (Acts 4: 12) There is no other. Only 144,000 firstfruits or saints will be resurrected when Messiah returns. Only they will possess the faith necessary to overcome to the end of this age. It is Messiah’s faith that is being formed within them. It is not their faith, but HIS that is the key to resurrection.

When the Levitical priests were consecrated, there was only a small number at that time: Aaron and his sons. The firstfruits have a similar calling. However, they are under the order of Melchizedek. (1 Peter 2:5)  They too, just like the Levitical priests, are undergoing a period of consecration. Please review my article, the Mystery of Consecration from November 2016. The firstfruits will be resurrected in the next or seventh age to complete their consecration and begin their service to Yahweh in the eighth age, or the last great day. (Please see our article from October 2016, regarding the words for ever and age-abiding)  Yes, there is a plan of the ages. The Bible translations work hard to cover up the truth about the ages. Please refer to the Emphasized Bible by Rotherham. His translation does an excellent job at revealing that there is no eternal time, but only an age-abiding time. When you have his Bible translation available, refer to Ephesians 3:11.

Those who are called to be firstfruits have been known to Yahweh since the foundation of the world. (Ephesians 1:4)  This is all being accomplished according to the plan of the ages. This is best revealed in the translation by Rotherham of Ephesians 3:11. Our lives are not random or unexpected. We are here to assist those that may be called to be firstfruits and are interested in baptism in the name of YAHWEHSHUA.

YOU ARE BEING DECEIVED: IT WAS PROPHESIED!

The apostle John gave us a very clear warning in Revelation 12:9:  “And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, WHICH DECEIVETH THE WHOLE WORLD.”  (emphasis, mine)  Yes, Satan is one of the guilty parties. He started with the angels and then progressed to mankind through Adam and Eve.

But, did you know that someone else is involved in deceiving the world? It is Yahweh!  He gave this command to the prophet Isaiah in Isaiah 6:9-10: “And he said, Go, and tell this people, hear ye indeed, but understand not; and see ye indeed, but perceive not.  Make the heart of this people fat, and make their ears heavy, and shut their eyes; lest they see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their heart, and convert, and be healed.”

Now, Isaiah was not deceived. He was given the truth and he was told to keep the truth from “these people.” There are those in the world to whom the truth is revealed. But there are also “these people” from whom Yahweh is keeping the truth. Which group are you in? I wish to help you decide through this article.

The Messiah, the Son of Yahweh, is the one who gave Isaiah this command. Yes, he was the Yahweh of the Old Testament. Notice what the Messiah tells us in John 5:37:  “And the Father himself, which hath sent me, hath borne witness of me.  Ye neither heard his voice at any time, nor seen his shape.” Moses and others spoke with the Son, but never the Father. The apostle Paul confirms this understanding in 1 Corinthians 10:4:  “And did all drink the same spiritual drink: for they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them: and that Rock was Messiah.”

The member of the Yahweh family who led the Israelites out of Egypt was the Son of Yahweh. The Old Testament is all about the Son, not the Father. The Father has remained in the light. (1 Timothy 6:16 ) No man has seen the Father. He has only acted through his Son. The Son of Yahweh, Yahweh of hosts, gave the command to Isaiah to keep certain people blind and deaf. As the incarnate Messiah, he taught the disciples the same truth. Let’s read about this in Matthew 13:10-16:

“And the disciples came, and said unto him, why speakest thou to them in parables?   He answered and said unto them, because it is given unto you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it is not given.  For whosoever hath, to him shall be given, and he shall have more abundance: but whosoever hath not, from him shall be taken away even that he hath.  Therefore speak I to them in parables: because they seeing see not; and hearing they hear not, neither do they understand.  And in them is fulfilled the prophecy of Esaias, [Isaiah] which saith, by hearing ye shall hear, and shall not understand; and seeing ye shall see, and shall not perceive.  For this people’s heart is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes they have closed; lest at any time they should see with your eyes and hear with their ears, and should understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them.  But blessed are your eyes, for they see: and your ears, for they hear.”

Are you one of “these people” or one of those who are blessed to hear and see? The apostle John tells us this in John 6:44:  “No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him:  and I will raise him up at the last day.” The Father controls who understands and who does not! Listen to these additional words from Messiah found in Matthew 2:14:  “For many are called, but few are chosen.”  “These people” represent the many, while the chosen are the few. Which group do you wish to be part of?

If you are led to this website, and are reading this article, YOU may be one of the called.  However, unless you are baptized in the name of YahwehShua, you cannot become one of the chosen. Being called is not one’s prerogative. The decision belongs to the Father.

There is so much deception in the world. How do you know what is true and what is not? All Bible translations are part of this deception. There is no Bible translation that does not omit truth or promote lies.

There are many examples to choose from. Let’s look at one found in Matthew 25:46:

“And these shall go away into everlasting [Greek, aionios, age-abiding] punishment: But the righteous into a life eternal.(aionios, age-abiding)  (KJV)  This verse is the only place in the Bible where you find these words together. This translation is used to support the belief in hell and eternal torture.

Let’s try another translation. This is Matthew 25:46 as found in the Emphasized Bible by Rotherham:  “And [these] shall go away, into [age-abiding] correction. But [the righteous] into [age-abiding] life.

Here is how the Concordant Literal New Testament translates this verse:  “And these shall be coming away into chastening eonian, yet the just into life eonian.”

Here is the Emphatic Diaglott:   “And these shall go forth to the aionian cutting off; but the righteous to aionian life.”

These translations (and there are more) are based on the same Greek words as the King James version. While the KJV uses everlasting and eternal to translate the Greek words, these English words do not come close to being accurate.

The Greek noun, aion (Strong’s 165), has always meant indeterminate time. The adjective is aionios, Strong’s 166. Aion can be as short as three days and three nights. Consider the book of Jonah 2:2, 6 where you will find the Hebrew word, olam, Strong’s 5769, translated in the Greek Old Testament as aion. The KJV has it wrong here as well. This word has been translated in many ways, including forever and eternal. Rotherham uses age-abiding for olam. An age or eon can also refer to the length of a man’s life. (Exodus 21:6)

When you read the other articles on this website you will learn more about the other lies and deceptions found in the translations. You should not base your spiritual future on Bible translations, without looking into the original languages, Hebrew and Greek. A Strong’s Concordance is a necessary reference.

A major lie easily discovered in the Old Testament is the false name of our Creator, LORD. The Hebrew reads Yahweh, yod, hey, waw, hey, also known as the Tetragrammaton. The Hebrew word translated as God is also a lie. The Hebrew word is Elohim, Strong’s 430. Elohim is a collective noun meaning, “mighty ones.”  This refers to the members of the Yahweh family, the Father and the Son. There is no trinity, which is another lie!

We are all born with a carnal mind. The apostle Paul alerts us to the deficiency of the carnal mind in Romans 8:7:   “Because the carnal mind is enmity against Elohim: [not god]for it is not subject to the law of Yahweh, neither indeed can be.” We begin this life without the ability to connect with Yahweh. This connection can only be made if you are called!

How are we able to make a connection with Yahweh? Paul offers this insight in Romans 8:9:

“Now if any man have not the Spirit of Messiah, he is none of his.”  How are we able to obtain the Spirit that Paul is telling us about? Paul reveals the answer in 2 Corinthians 1:20-22:   “For all the promises of Elohim in him are yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of Yahweh by us. Now he which stablisheth us with you in the Messiah, and hath anointed us is Elohim:  Who hath also sealed us, and given the earnest of the Spirit in our hearts.”  What we need to make that connection comes from the Father. Messiah promised this to the disciples and told them to be in Jerusalem on Pentecost. That was when the connection was initiated. That connection has been available since Pentecost and continues to be available until the end of this age.

On that Pentecost the disciples and thousands of others were given the Spirit necessary to make a connection to Yahweh. The Spirit of the Father was freely given and along with that Spirit is the earnest of the Son’s Spirit. The Son’s Spirit is not given in total, but must develop or mature. If the Son’s Spirit is mature at the time of our death, we will be resurrected when the Messiah returns.

In Galatians 4:19, Paul reveals a mystery to us:  “My little children, of whom I travail in birth again UNTIL MESSIAH BE FORMED IN YOU.”  (emphasis, mine)  Paul describes what is going on spiritually inside each person baptized in YAHWEHSHUA. The down payment of Spirit given by the Father is being formed gradually, over time, into a duplicate of Messiah. This is why John tells us in 1 John 3:2 that we, “shall be like him.”

In Acts 2:38, we find Peter’s response to men who asked, “What shall we do?” This may be a question that you yourself may have: “Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of________________ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.”  I have left the name which Peter gave blank because the correct name is very important as we learn in Acts 4: 12:  “Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.” We must get this name right in order to receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. The name you find in ALL translations is the wrong name. This is a very critical understanding. This is most worthy of study, prayer, and persistently petitioning Yahweh to reveal HIS truth to you.

Baptism is the only way you get the Spirit that allows you to make a connection to the Father, and therefore the Son. If we have a connection to the Son, we will also have a connection to the Father. (1 John 2:23)

The name of the Son that Peter told us to use when baptized is very important. Without the correct name, your baptism is worthless. We have articles on what the name of baptism must be. That name is not Jesus, Yahshua, Yeshua, or any other name you may read about. The name of inheritance is the true name for baptism. (Hebrews 1:4)

Why did Messiah need to inherit a new name? The name that was given to him following his birth was under the old covenant. That name, however, was revealed to Joseph in a dream before Messiah was born. (Matthew 2:21)  According to Galatians 4:4, Messiah was born under the law and had to follow that law until his death. According to Deuteronomy 29:20, whenever a man died in sin, his name was to be blotted out.  By becoming a curse for us (Galatians 3:13) and taking upon himself all the sin of mankind (1 John 1:7), his birth name was blotted out, as required in Deuteronomy 29:20.

Once the birth name was defiled and blotted out according to the law, what was the name of salvation to be? It is that name that Peter would reveal in his words quoted in Acts 2: 38. According to Hebrews 1:4, it was a more excellent name. What would that more excellent name be? The answer is found in Psalms 148:13:  “Let them praise the name of Yahweh: for his name alone is excellent.”  This important revelation is recorded again in Psalms 8:1:   “Oh Yahweh our Sovereign, how excellent is thy name in all the earth.”

Yes, the inherited name is Yahweh. This was not a new understanding, as the prophet Joel had proclaimed it in Joel 2:38.   “And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call upon the name of Yahweh shall be delivered: For in Mount Zion and in Jerusalem shall be deliverance, as Yahweh hath said, and in the remnant whom Yahweh shall call.”  In addition to this, the Son, Yahweh of the Old Testament, proclaims this in Isaiah 43:3:   “For I am Yahweh, thy Elohim, the Holy One of Israel, thy Saviour.”  In this Scripture, the Yahweh of the Old Testament, the Son of Father Yahweh, the one who was to become the Messiah incarnate, gives us a clue about his yet to be inherited name. His name is the name of the Father and the Son, the same name on the foreheads of the firstfruits in Revelation 14:1, YAHWEHSHUA.

The Yahweh, the Son, of the Old Testament was known by a variety of names. Each involved the family name, Yahweh, combined with an attribute that described his role at that time. Some examples are Yahweh-Yireh, (Genesis 22:14) Yahweh Ropheka, (Exodus 15:26) or Yahweh Sabaoth. (1 Samuel 1:3) Please refer to the Companion Bible by Bullinger, appendix four, for additional information.

In Luke 11:52, Messiah had chastised the Pharisees for taking away the key of knowledge. That problem still exists today. Except today it is the name of both the Father and Son that has been taken away. Without knowledge of that name, salvation is not available through baptism. This is one reason why such a small number are firstfruits. In Revelation 14:1, we learn that 144,000 are resurrected when Messiah returns. The rest of mankind will not be resurrected until after the 1,000 years or the last great day. (Revelation 20:5) There is only one name of salvation, YAHWEHSHUA. Only a few will be called to know that name, and even fewer will respond to the invitation.

One can pray, study, and follow every commandment they can think of, but without baptism in the name of YahwehShua, your carnal mind is still at enmity with Yahweh. Only the Spirit of Messiah can open your mind to the truth of the Scriptures. Do not be deceived. There is only one way. Messiah alerts us to this truth in John 14:6: “ I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh to the Father, but by me.”

This is why we are told in Revelation 7 and 14 about the 144,000 firstfruits. Yahweh wants us to know that while many are called, only a few will be chosen.  As scripture indicates, narrow is the way. (Matthew 7:14) The good news is that all mankind will be resurrected and eventually have a spirit body in the new heavens and earth. Not one human being is lost. There is no hell, no eternal punishment, no eternal death, but there is the hope that Yahweh gives us through his Son, YAHWEHSHUA.

All mankind has been born with a birth defect. Each carnal mind is at enmity with Yahweh. (Romans 8: 7)  Each human being begins life with no connection to Yahweh. The only prescription for healing this defect is baptism in the name of YAHWEHSHUA. This baptism must be by immersion and be witnessed by an elder in the Ecclesia of YAHWEHSHUA.  Following immersion, you must have hands laid upon you by that elder. This is the only Scriptural formula acceptable to Yahweh that will create a connection to Yahweh.

Please read the articles on this website, study the Scriptures and pray to YAHWEH for his truth. We are here for those being called by Yahweh.  If you would like to learn more, please contact us. If you wish to submit a question or comment, please email our Elder at john12e4567@gmail.com.

THE BREAD THAT CAME DOWN FROM HEAVEN WAS YAHWEHSHUA

Messiah Yahshua is quoted as saying this in John 6:51:  “I am the living bread which came down from heaven: if any man eat this bread, he shall live age-abiding: and the bread that I will give is my flesh, which I give for the life of the world.”

Yes, this quote came from Messiah Yahshua. However, before he was born, he was pre-existent with his Father, Yahweh. (John 17:5) After accomplishing his purpose as a human being, he returned to be with his Father. Messiah had a body prepared for his incarnate existence on earth. (Hebrews 10:5) This plan had been in effect from the foundation of the world. Through this plan, there is hope for all mankind in the new heavens and earth. Not one human being is left in the grave.

Yahweh loves all mankind. Eventually every knee will bow to YahwehShua. (Philippians 2:10)

Messiah was given the name of Yahshua at birth. He was destined to not only lose his human life, but also his human name. When he died on a tree (Acts 5:30; 10:39; 13:29), he fulfilled the prophecy given about him in Deuteronomy 21:22- 23:

“And if a man have committed a sin worthy of death, and he be to be put to death, and thou hang him on a tree:  But thou shalt in any wise bury him that day; (for he that is hanged is accursed of Elohim) that thy land be not defiled, which Yahweh thy Elohim giveth thee for an inheritance.”

Messiah was impaled on a tree. The Bible uses the word cross and calls it crucifixion. This is a mistranslation of the Greek word carried over from the Vulgate. The Greek word for which the translator used the word, cross, is actually stauros. (Strong’s 4716) This word definitely does not mean cross. Stauros is often described as an upright pole. But, the prophecy in Deuteronomy says a tree. (Strong’s 6086)  Messiah was definitely raised up on a tree, and not a pole or cross.

When you examine all the scriptures using Strong’s 6086, you will see this word is used of a tree and not a cross. The first occurrence of this word is in Genesis 1:11 which says:  “Let the earth bring forth grass, herb yielding seed, and the fruit tree (Strong’s 6086) after his kind, whose seed is in itself, upon the earth: and it was so.”

The Bible must be read with caution. The translators often disguised the truth with the wrong word. For example, the name of our Creator was not “LORD”, but Yahweh. Yahweh’s name, the tetragrammaton, yod hey waw hey, is used nearly 7000 times in the Hebrew Scriptures. Note what the Creator said to Moses in Exodus 3:15:

“And Elohim(not god, again a translators error) said moreover unto Moses, thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, Yahweh Elohim of your fathers, the Elohim of Abraham, the Elohim of Isaac, and the Elohim of Jacob, hath sent me unto you: this is my name age-abiding, (not forever, another error, Strong’s 5769) and this is my memorial unto all generations.”

The Hebrew scripture in Deuteronomy 21:22-23 is a twofold prophecy. It indicates that whosoever dies in sin will be hung on a tree, and that they must be removed that same day. Only the Messiah fulfilled these prophecies. 1 John 1:7 provides an answer for one of these prophecies:  “The blood of Yahshua Messiah his Son cleanseth us from all sin.”  Messiah was made sin for us. (2 Corinthians 5:21) No other human being must die in sin and be hung up on the tree. Messiah has already accomplished this. He took upon himself the sin of the entire world.

What about the second prophecy which says that that person must be removed from the tree that same day? Messiah died on the preparation day, the day just before the first high day of unleavened bread. That high day began at sundown, the same afternoon Messiah was hung on the tree. The leaders of the Pharisees and Sadducees did not want to defile themselves, and not be able to keep that special high day. They were therefore very happy to approve Messiah being removed from the tree and placed in the tomb before the end of the day. This is recorded in Mark 16:43-46. Messiah was placed in the tomb by his disciples before sundown on that Wednesday, the preparation day.

There is another prophecy in Deuteronomy that is connected to the two revealed in Deuteronomy 21:22-23. This one is found in Deuteronomy 29:20 and says:

“Yahweh will not spare him, but then the anger of Yahweh and his jealousy shall smoke against that man, and all the curses that are written in this book shall lie upon him and Yahweh shall blot out his name from under heaven.” Was this prophecy fulfilled? Did Messiah bear all the curses and have his name removed or blotted out?

According to Galatians 3:13, he became a curse for mankind:  “Messiah hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, cursed is everyone that hangeth on a tree.”  Yes, he became a curse for us. He was also removed from the tree the same day on which he died.

What about Messiah’s name being blotted out? The fulfillment of that prophecy was confirmed in Hebrews 1:4: “Being made so much better than theangels, as he hath by inheritance obtained a more excellent name then they.”

What more excellent name did he inherit? There is only ONE more excellent name as revealed in Psalm 148:13:  “Let them praise the name of Yahweh:(not LORD) for his name alone is excellent; his glory is above the earth and heavens.” It was his birth name, Yahshua that was blotted out. That name identifies his blood that covers all the sins of the world. That name is so defiled he could not be resurrected and appear before the Father with it. He received a new name, a more excellent name, which had to be YAHWEH! Since he became Yahweh the Savior, his new name was YAHWEHSHUA!

It was his inherited name, YAHWEHSHUA, not his birth name, that Peter referred to in Acts 2:38. Messiah’s human name was blotted out by the Father. Peter was speaking on Pentecost, 50 days after Messiah’s resurrection. The truth had been revealed to him. He again referred to this new name in Acts 4:12:  “There is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.”

We have just completed our observance of the 14thof the first Hebrew month. It was on this day, at night, Messiah shared the bread and fruit of the vine with his disciples. It was on the daylight portion of the 14th that Messiah died on a tree at 3 PM in the afternoon.

On the night of the 14th, following the supper, he revealed to his disciples a new remembrance. First he washed their feet. Then he distributed bread and fruit of the vine to his disciples. He told them, “This do in remembrance of me.”  Religionists have taught that the bread he gave his disciples was unleavened. However, this is another example of a false teaching. He gave them leavened bread, as the Greek word, artos, indicates. This word, Strong’s 740, is translated as leavened bread. The Greek word for unleavened is azymos, Strong’s 106.

Messiah, the firstfruit, (1 Corinthians 15:23) would have used the bread of the firstfruits, which is leavened. (Leviticus 23:17) This night was 24 hours before the Jews’ Passover would begin. Leaven was not to be removed until the following day at noon. He was giving the bread of the firstfruits to those who were to become firstfruits on the following Pentecost. All firstfruits must remember Messiah on the night of the fourteenth.

The night of the 14th and the day of Pentecost are very significant. On the night of the 14th, Messiah, the bread of life, spoke to his disciples with a parable. He used figurative language when he described the bread as his body, and the fruit of the vine as his blood. The Catholic Church took this parable literally and believe that the bread and juice actually became Messiah’s body and blood. They are blinded to the truth.

Only those who are called to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven will understand what Messiah really did that night. (Matthew 13:11) Messiah spoke to the multitudes only in parables. He is still doing this today. Consider what we are told in Matthew 13:13:  “Therefore speak I to them in parables: because they seeing see not; hearing they hear not, neither do they understand.” These words describe the condition of the world today. Unless the Father calls you, you cannot know the truth.

Messiah’s use of parables was also a fulfillment of a prophecy revealed in Psalms 78:2:  “I will open my mouth in a parable: I will utter dark sayings of old:”  What he said to his disciples in Matthew 13 was also a fulfillment of a prophecy found in Isaiah 6:9-10:

“And he said, go, and tell this people, hear ye indeed, but understand not, and see ye indeed, but perceive not.  Make the heart of the people fat, and make their ears heavy, and shut their eyes; lest they see with their eyes, and hear with her ears, and understand with their heart, and convert, and be healed.”

These prophecies were fulfilled when Messiah spoke to the multitudes. Today, when his words are spoken or read, the multitudes respond the same as they did in the day of Messiah.

Those who read Revelation 7 and 14 and are able to understand that only 144,000 are resurrected when the Messiah returns, are surprised at such a small number.

The prophecies quoted above explain the condition of the world today. Only a small number of people are called during this age. The rest of mankind will have their opportunity on the last great day or white throne judgment. Yahweh does not want to lose one human being. All who have ever been conceived will live again. Each person will be resurrected but only in his own order. (1 Corinthians 15: 23)

How are the firstfruits able to be in the resurrection when Messiah returns? First, the Father must call them. (John 6:44)  Next, they must be baptized in the name of YahwehShua. At that time they will receive the earnest or down payment of the Spirit of Messiah. Each person baptized in this manner receives a spiritual piece of the bread of life. This is what Messiah was revealing to the disciples through a parable on the night he was betrayed. On that night, they received leavened bread. However, on Pentecost they would receive the spiritual living bread that came down from heaven. It is the indwelling Spirit of Messiah that is developed over time (Galatians 4:19) that allows the firstfruits to be resurrected at Messiah’s return.

In John 6, Messiah spoke with a parable when he told those listening that they had to eat his flesh and drink his blood. (verse 53) This scared many of those who called themselves his disciples, and they no longer followed him. This was no surprise to Messiah, for he knew who would remain and who would abandon him. (verse 64) In this way, he was able to choose the twelve who would be with him on the night of the 14th.

Even the presence of Judas that night was revealed in prophecy. Let us review Psalm 41:9 first:  “Yea, mine own familiar friend, in whom I trusted, which did eat of my bread, hath lifted up his heel against me.”  This was fulfilled in John 13:18:

“I speak not of you all: I know who I have chosen: but that the scripture may be fulfilled, he that eateth my bread with me hath lifted up his heel against me.”

A second prophecy regarding Judas is found in Psalm 69:25:  “Let their habitation be desolate: and let none dwell in their tents.”  This was fulfilled in Acts 1:20:  “For it is written in the book of Psalms, let his habitation be desolate, and let no man dwell therein: and his bishoprick let another take.”

Why are these prophecies and their fulfillment of importance to us? Perhaps what we read in Ephesians 1:4 will be of help:  “According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love.”  Who is the “us”? This is a reference to the firstfruits or saints. As firstfruits or potential firstfruits, we must be assured that what Yahweh promises he accomplishes. When you are baptized in the name of YahwehShua, you are staking your spiritual future on a name that is not revealed in scripture. You must learn to know and trust scripture, not the Bible.

Every year the firstfruits observe the 14th of the first month by washing each other’s feet and sharing leavened bread and fruit of the vine. While these are only symbols or figurative references of what occurred at Pentecost, and when each firstfruit was baptized, nonetheless, Messiah said, “This do in remembrance of me.”

One is not able to see beyond the parables unless called by the Father. Many are called, but few are chosen. (Matthew 22:14) This is how Yahweh is limiting participation in the resurrection when Messiah returns. This is what he did when only Aaron and his sons were designated for consecration in the Tabernacle, which lasted seven days, before they could serve as priests. The firstfruits are being selected to serve Yahweh as priests. (Revelation 1:6 ; 5:10; 20:6)

Do you wish to be one of Messiah’s at his coming? You must receive a piece of the living bread. This is a spiritual truth that is fulfilled when you are baptized in the name of YahwehShua. Perhaps next year on the night of the 14th, you can join other firstfruits to remember the sacrifice of the lamb of Yahweh who was slain from the foundation of the world. (Revelation 13:8)
